When you fill up container with soil,do you guys soak it completly before putting the germinated seed into it? Or just put seed into fresh soil and water around stem now and then until it is big enough to handle fully soaked soil?
Tell me your method here guys.
:peace:

I never soak the soil, especially for the first little bit you want the roots to go searching for water, this increases root growth dramatically. The only time I wet or "soak" the soil is during a transplant.

Just give it a light watering for the first day or two, as the roots grow so does the amount of water you use.

Less is more.

On earlier grows i have soaked soil before putting seed into, but have used 2,64 gallon (10l) containers so they have dryed out in normal time. But this time i was thinking to use bigger containers 5 gallon(18l) for bigger roots you know, but should not soaked them at first, just watered around stem when needed now and then right?

Just water a little circle around stem every day then?

i tend to moisten the soil well once but i also germinate direct into soil, but i only do that once right when i drop the seed, then i wait and water once a week about two teaspoon
. to water
