hi guys. my first post here been on 420 a while but thought i would join the autoflower network as i always do autos.
i have a grow atm with canna coco plus but although im not using there range of nutes i have purchased them and will be trying them next grow. i have fabric pots with canna coco plus and perlite about 30%
My question is what to add to the water to pre-wet the coco. The seeds will be going straight into the fabric pots 15ltr as i have always done. I have the canna A and B and the rhizotonic. Also calmag but not cannas brand its density calmag advises 3ml per litre on the bottle.

Been using regular Canna Coco brand coir for the 3 grows i have done.My seed goes in to a Jiffy pellet, then Solo cup, then 3 gals of dry Canna Coco coir and i give it a regular watering of 5.8 ph and 1\4 strenght nutes (GH) and that's it.Nothing else and everything has been fine,no problems.

Good luck!

thanks but i have never tranplanted, i must look into it as ive heard its best starting in smaller pots with coir.i want to get the next lot of girls on the go tomorrow so would you have a reccomendation on what to wet the coco with?

Plain ph water...? Not germinating in paper towel, straight seed in coco?
Many many ways to start...but it works for many growers!
Yep, i would go straight water ph to 5.8...
I've never saw one of my seedling being stunt by transplanting it.

Warning:Not exactly an expert, only 3 grows under my belt! :toke:

yea i leave water out for 1-2 days then ph it to 5.8. i must look into transplanting for the grow after this one lol cheers buddy.

its just pre buffad as far as i know.
Ok then,i would wet completely the coco and plant the seed.Keep it wet around the seed, put a small dome and wait for it!
Keeping 3-5 gals of coco at germinating temp is harder then a small germinating dome IMO.
Again,not an expert,just a newbie that read a lot!

Never read about Canna Coco Plus and not available here.Says only in U.K.
Do you know what's different fron the regular Canna Coco coir ?
Perhaps the "Plus" is for non US markets. For marketing purposes.

You can add yucca powder to your watering or a product like coco wet to help the coco absorb the watering. I find that if I water a little less a little more often that the coco will stay more absorbent to waterings as well. I never let my coco grows dry out like with soul grows. But you have to watch how much additives you add to coco because it will turn from a hydro grow to a soil type grow quickly.
