I have witnessed what this light can do bro.. you will not be disappointed.. plants love this light. I'm not saying the Mars options are not good lights by any means.. just that I can personally vouch for results from the SF-2000. Are you journaling your grow on AFN? If so tag me in when you're up and running.. interested to see how you go with this light.. I bet you totally can't wait until it arrives now lol not sure where you are but my m8 is in the UK and his arrived within a few days.

I run 4 Spider Farmer SF-1000 . So far my plants seem to love them. Good uniform coverage. They don't produce much heat and good power efficiency. No complaints. "a good bit of kit" i think that's how they say it in the UK

Hey there, I am back finally with some news! Yesterday at 17:00 I planted my seeds! I decided to plant the seeds directly in the final pot, looked to me the easiest way.

This is what I did, step by step and day by day, until now!

9/05/2020
  1. I prepared my soil mixture: 70% soil (BioBizz Light Mix), 30% Perlite. It was about 5,6Kg of soil and 2,4Kg of perlite.
  2. I gave the pots a very good soak using water settling since 24hrs, I gave about 3 liters of water each pot and added 2ml per litre of BioBizz Root Juice (instead of 4ml oer litre as suggested by the company) followed by some drops of Ph- solution from Advanced Hydroponics of Holland in order to lower Ph from 8+ to around 6/7. I stopped watering the pots until I had a decent run out from the bottom, not that much of run out.
  3. I moved my pots into my grow box and let them rest 24 hours with lights on in order to let the soil absorb humidity and not being wet, from now on also my clipfan is always operating inside the grow box.

  1. At 17:00 I decided it was the right time to plant my seeds directly in soil and I did it. I made a 1cm hole, put the seed inside and covered it with soil, without pressing it. Soil looked humid, not wet, so I suppose presoaking worked as expected!
  2. At this very stage I also used a dome to cover the top of the pot. I hope it was the right decision to start using a dome just after seeding, you will tell me. From time to time now I use to spray water over the soil to keep it moist.
  3. Since I planted lights are set on a daily cicle of 20/04 hrs, I use an hygrometer to check the conditions inside the dome, it's about 75% to 90% Rh and a temperature between 23/29 degrees. From time to time I open the dome to let some fresh air in and lower Rh and temperatures if they get too high. I also had to move the Spider Farmer SF-2000 about 80cm awai from the pots in order to lower the temperatures!

Still nothing guys! I continue moisting the domes and cross my finger. Hope I did all the steps the right way!

Hygrometer inside the dome.

Today I finally received my humidifier but I am still waiting for the InkBird Controller. Meanwhile I found out that using those industrial kitchen aluminium pots and filling them with small stones and water did a very good job keeping the general humidity level inside of the grow box at around 70% to 75%, this way I got rid of those antiaesthetic paper towels!

NOTES:
Turning on the Air Extractor (connected to the Carbon filter) will lower my temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees and will also lower the humidity inside the grow box in a scale range of 30% to 40%.

Coming soon for more infos!

And it still didn't sprout!

Cought by anxiety I decided to move the soil a bit and check what's happening down there, I clearly saw 2 green things (like lines) under the soil in each pot, so I believe they both germinated and I just have to wait to sprout... Keep crossing my fingers!

yes... keep us posted... i will be starting my first grow this weekend. so i am still learning things...

Is it normal that if I connect my carbon filter to my exaust fan it will reduce the airflow exaust capacity of about 30 to 40%? I tried two brand new filters already and the result is still the same.

I put a cloth patch over the exaust:
  1. With filter installed, the cloth patch will rise in the air something like 6cm/7cm, if I change filter from 250m3/h to 170m3/h, results are exactly the same.
  2. Without filter installed the cloth patch will rise in the air something like 13cm/15cm.

I do have a two speed extractor, from 140m3/h to 180m3/h. Filters are respectively 250m3/h and 170m3/h. Both causes negative pressure pulling walls inside.

Shall I do something guys? Is there something I can do to check if filter is working correctly? What is for sure is that it will drammatically lower my exaust capacity...

Hello guys! I would like to ask your opinion about what is wrong with this girls, shall I worry about these much darker green areas along leaves?

RH is between 65% to 75%, temperature between 78F to 81,5F (75F overnight). Light cycle is 20/4h, lamp distance is 24 inches (61cm), as suggested by the manufacturer in the user manual.

I watered pots once, two times considering the initial 24h presoak before planting the seed. In both cases I added BioBizz Root Juice, 2ml per litre, instead of 4ml per litre as per producer reccomandations.

Any help would be really appreciated! Keep safe & ppp!

It looks like the soil might be a little too hot (too much nitrogen) it can also be genetic but I have not seen that particular pattern before. Steady as she goes. I don't understand if Biobizz Light Mix has starting nutrient why do they start feeding the first week on their chart? Go light with any nutrient additions in the beginning. I think root juice is just humic acid and kelp. It is hard to know as I cannot find a guaranteed analysis. Growing in coco or rock wool you start with a blank slate and know exactly the inputs. Anything pre-mixed is a guessing match.

Hello guys, sad situation for me lately! :sadcry:

Can you tell me what problem my plants have? Did I make some kind of mistake? Can't understand, everything was going so fine before scrog and LST...

Since I put the net ,3 days ago, plants have stopped growing and seem to be suffering. Please check my Journal post from 3 days ago, you can clearly see plants looking much more healthy. The very same day after updating the Journal I decided to do LST and Scrog as many of you suggested. Sadly you can check results is in pictures attached... I don't really see any improvements, buds sites instead got even smaller.

Lowered RH from 55/60 % to 50/55 %. Temp from 73F (light off) to 84F (light on). Light is 20/4 h.

Feeded yesterday 10/06 (last feed was on 07/06), added TopMax and CalMag hoping to do some kind of benefit but today the situation is pretty equal if not even worse...

1ml BioGrow
1ml BioBloom
1ml TopMax
1ml CalMag

I feel frustrated, any help would be really appreciated... Thanks a lor in advance and have a nice day.
