Indoor Ponytailing seedlings?

I ponytail every grow. Without getting all science guy, the main growing tip of the plant that is closest to the sun (light) releases a plant hormone that somewhat restricts the lower growing points. When you ponytail the main top, you shade the growing point so it stops releasing the hormone and the lower growing points experience a growth spurt. I ponytail for half a day, for three days in a row, starting when the 4th set of true leaves start to emerge. You will see those lower branchs respond very quickly. I use pipe cleaners.

@THCHERO looks like you got a very good response on your topic..

as @Yeatster and @Heavily Medicated said better use those pipe cleaners as they are stable as fuck and pretty gentle on the plants..I bought mine for like 2$ and I'm loving them...
I used to do ponytail but at the time I wasn't so gentle with handling so was better to leave them to go by themselves.. but the difference was there and it was effective... :D

I think we just need to find our favorite way of boosting/training and master it.
Personally I started to do LST with pipe cleaners (you can read how it's done in discretepete's trehad about LST-very simple) and I will post some pics tonight..
