I am looking for a grow journal or a thread that follows a good basic growing process for auto flowering weed grown inside and in soil. I'm a couple of months away from being able to grow so now is a good time to read up and come up with my strategy and start buying some items I'll need.

I have already read many threads on this board but I have not yet found what I'm looking for. Hoping someone knows of a good FAQ thread or journal on growing autos for the newbie first timer to read and probably copy the techniques from.

I will be growing indoors in soil as already stated. I have a 8x8 tent. Two 600watt HID lights. I plan on getting good bean genetics. Mephisto or Dinafem etc.

Things I am looking to learn are the basics but related to auto flowering grows. What pot sizes to use, if any transplanting is required. Soil and nutes during germ, seedling, veg and flower. Watering. Lighting.

And if there is a book I should pick up please make a recommendation.

I've seen some pretty nice looking first grows on this site and can't wait to learn all I can and then do my first grow.

I'm not a soil grower and I can't advise you there. Where you live is going to play a role because some areas just won't have the same soil or nutrients available.

Have you checked the stickies at the top or TaNgs threads? Yes basic and advanced feed schedules and goes into quite the detail in his grows.

So many amazing growers on AFN with a wealth of knowledge, just keep reading and searching. Every bit of info you need is here. As far as indoor and soil, I've found TaNgs Dutch passion thread for his cookies grow to be about the best. Here's a link: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/dp-autocolorado-cookies-and-autobrooklyn-sunrise.48605/ Don't stress to much on your first grow just have fun as learning from your inevitable mistakes is half the fun. Welcome to AFN! :pass:

Hey @lunarman welcome to AFN youve already got some great advice above.
I would like to add that you should use a lightmix soil for autos like biobizz lightmix or plagron lightmix.
Start in final pots- (you can transplant autos but better to keep it simple for first grow)

As for amount of plants that goes with pot size and strain. If going with a large strain and say 15litre pots or larger i would go with 4 for every 4x4.
Smaller strains in smaller pots like 10 litre or less you could go with 9 in a 4x4 but it could still get tight!

Nutes is down to personal preference find a journal or grower whose results you like and copy them. Most are freindly and happy to share schedules.
Or you could use biotabs you put them in the soil and they feed the plant throughout the grow- you need to water- no nutrients no ph'ing water either.

Good luck with the grow whatever you decide brother!
