Please help

Yh that's just water mate straight out the tap. It's mad cos my first grow I wasn't checking the ph or ppm I was just letting the water sit a couple days then feeding them with every water and they was sweet, I actually done really well with them yield wise but this one I'm trying to do it all properly and it's not going well! I know all strains are different and all that

Yeah I feel you. I was growing a year before I even considered checking my water ppm and ph! Fortunately I'm lucky to live in a town with great water quality. I'm getting ~35ppm out of my tap!

New growers seem to trust a finger poke or a lift test to figure watering...a moisture meter can and will train you and help avoid where you're at.

I've used BBLM and BB nutes for years...never check ppm....only ph everything going in and have had none of your issues.

Reality is ...you probably pushed your plant to do more than it can...had to flush so now it's a waiting game. Keep ventilation and environment in check is all you can do.

Get a local water report. Also, depending on where you live, it may not stay the same all year. I live in a delta region, in the fall the water becomes more brackish, in the spring that fades. It is apparent in the water here as well. Spring -fall the water is "semi" usable, but fall to spring it's not even drinkable, much less usable for plants.

I run RO. Make sure if that's the call you look into remineralizers.

Hi, yh I did start off using those moisture meters but didn't find them very helpful if I'm honest and was told by so many other people to do away with them and do what the finger and lift test? My first grow I didn't test anything and they came out really good but all I read was people saying u should ph so thought I'd better do it but all I'm having now is problems!

Pushed it as in with the nutes? Cos I can't see how, I feel if I give them any less then what I do I may aswell feed them water all the time. And the only other difference with this one is the lst but I done that weeks ago, could it be I stressed her too much from that?

I'm not going against anything ur saying as this is only my 2nd grow so what I know is pretty much fuck all I'm just trying to get to the root of the problem

I live in the UK and the water is pretty poor here I'm only on my 2nd so can't say iv had the chance to test it through the year yet. My mate lives 2 hours away and his water ppm is actually higher then mine. Maybe I need to look into RO water

Hey Lou,

My tap water isn't nearly as bad as yours but I cut mine with distilled water from the store. Helps cut down the ppm without costing too much. For days I'm mixing in nutrients I use distilled/RO only to get the numbers more in range. Might be worth experimenting. I know an RO system can cost a couple hundred so a few jugs at less than $1 isn't a bad investment.

Pushed it with high ppm nutrient solutions, I think is what automan2 means. Even though you're only feeding quarter strength nutrients, your water is too hard. Autoflowers like staying below ~500-50ppm and that's late in flowering. You want to to be able to feed half strength and still keep the ppm in check. Like you say, you're almost at the ppm limit without even adding any nutes to your water.

Ok yh I understand now, thank you Looks like I'll start looking into ro and do what DCLXVI said for now

A little tip,
You can buy an aquarium RO system for 50 dollar, you place it next to the sink connected with 3 tubes, takes 5 minutes to install.
It does exactly the same thing as the big units costing a couple 100, water comes out 0.01EC.
Why is it so cheap? Because it can only clean 2 gallon per hour.
So it's great for small growers that don't need more, just set an alarm so you don't forget you have it running lol.
I just (slowly) fill a water tank near the tent.

Now this is something I will definitely look into ASAP, thank you . 2 gallons if I'm correct is the equivalent to 7L-ish per hour which is more then enough for what I need. I just need to research now about adding the correct minerals back to the water. Thanks again bud
