I'm a beginner starting my first small indoor grow using autoflower seeds. I have a grow tent, viparspectra LED 450, a rhino filter system and will be growing with Biobizz Light Mix and All Mix.

I was going to fill my 12 litre airpots mostly with BB All Mix, with some Light Mix at the top. I was then going to water the pots, leave for a few hours and plant the seeds directly into the top of the pots in the Light Mix. My plan was then to cover the pots with clingfilm to create a humid atmosphere, put in a dark, warm space with no light and wait for them to germinate, which I'm hoping will be between 3-5 days. Once they start to pop out the soil, I'll remove the clingfilm and put the veg light on to start the grow.

Does this sound reasonable? Am I good to go with seeds straight in to the large container with no transplanting? Want to keep things as simple as possible.

Cheers folks. Your comments are much appreciated. Definitely going to put the seeds straight into the pots now. Old school.
Sure I'll experience ups and downs and some angst along the way, but time to get self-sufficient. One more thing, I have 7 seeds in total and would like to produce 3 plants ideally. How many out of the 7 should come through? Seeds are Mephisto - Orange Diesel and Northern Cheese Haze. Fingers crossed.

I soak my seeds in a shot glass of water the night before I’m planting them, for 12-18hrs, then into the final pot about 3/8”-1/2” down, lightly cover back up, and like clockwork 2 days later you got seedlings. Keep them moist but not soaked, and you’re off to the races!
