There are a couple items I've been thinking about that I'd love to get y'alls input into how to make ....

1. A light mover would be nice but if there was a way to rotate each plant slowly it would minimize the effect of shadows .

2. I would like to suspend a quality UFO in a corner over a single plant that is sitting on some sort of turntable that rotates the plant about once per hour. This is an idea more for decoration that efficiency ... but I'll bet the plant would grow well.

3. If there was a way to have the turntable powered by solar that was powered by the LED it would be even better.

4. Just the gentle motion of lights swaying, like a ship at sea would make LEDs more effective as they would greatly eliminate the shadow effect.

I have yet to figure any of these ideas out but If y'all have any thoughts I'm open to input.

plant mover. use a lazy susan with a motor on a timer. id like to c it done. shit would b so dope

Light rails and even the light spinners work great. If you want to move your plants just turn then 1/4 turn every day under the light mover IMHO. I saw a rotating thingy called revolutionary plant mover. seemed like junk but claimed 1000W results from a 400W light.

Good to see I'm not the only one thinking along those lines ... :smokebuds:

I rotate mine a few times a day, actually anytime I go into the room.
What I finding though is that I don't really have to do it now that my light mover is up.
Shadows are pretty much eliminated, especially with a bit of selective defoliation!
:peace:

I will have to get one of those light movers... prolly an adjustable one incase my set up changes.

The light rail is the item created for this app. The light moves back and forth rather quick-several seconds to run 10 feet out and back. There are also LEDs on the tip of what look like ceiling fan blades. If you can put a swing to oscillate your UFO that would give that added penetration.

Or you can try this Humboldt County back country method-don't move the plant or the light, move the room! Yep, many a Humboldt Bush Wacker be it a Hippy or a Red Neck lives and or grows in a dilapidated trailer/RV. Well Billy Joe Bob and Moon Beam partnered up and put plants all along the side of the RV that had windows. They just hook up to the pick up truck, and move the room with the windows to the sunny side all day - buh, huh! If there is one thing them people in the Humboldt Back Country know is how to grow reefer!

Great minds think alike bro's

A little idea I've been workin' on is using old microwave turntables
Think high torque low rpm.
Drive around on trash day raid curbside trash use what you need scrap out the rest and make a few bucks to buy the other things you'll need
Think Redneck engineering ( no offence to anyone:D)

:peace:
edit: Also yard sales ,garage sales and suce are good places to find them on the cheap

I got it! Rotating Christmas Tree Stand. Most were/are for light weight artificial trees, but autos are small. As for the Red Neck comment-Moon Beams idea to keep the plants in direct sun were shot down by Red Neck engineering when Billy Joe Bob said "Shit-why don't I just hook up the trailer to my pick up truck and drive it around in a circle once a day.
