Hi, looking at a more accurate ph meter. I have a yellow atc one that cost about £6, I just don't trust it. Trying to decide whether to get the essentials ph meter or spend a bit more and maybe get an apera one. Anyone any experience with either of the pens or any other suggestions.

Bluelab. I still have my bluelab ph pen. Has lasted me two years. Dont buy their ppm pens. They seem to break more often.

I am currently using the Apera PH 60 and like it quite a bit. It's nearly two and a half years old and hasn't started drifting. I have Bluelab which drifted enough that I stopped using it. Same for the Oakton Eco Tester PH and I liked that one a lot as well. I calibrate every 4 weeks.

I’ve got the Bluelab and it works fine. The conductivity meter too. I’ve also got the cheap yellow ones.

I discovered after forking out the cash for the Bluelab that they’ll all go funky on you if you don’t take care of it. Keeping it clean and wet etc. I calibrate once a month but it hasn’t needed it yet.

If I was going to do it over, I would have maintained my pair of cheap yellow ones and bought another COB instead of the Bluelab. Or a par meter.

Where did you buy your bluelab? If you bought it on amazon or ebay etc, I heard some of them are fake? Order straight ffrom bluelab. Might cost more but youre guaranteed the real deal.
