New Grower PH Meter: Cheap Yellow Stick pen Meter?

All over ebay from Hong Kong are these yellow stick Pen PH Meter's. Has anyone bought one? Are they ok? Do they work? They cost less then 10 bucks.

Theres so many threads about these yellow metres basicaly its hit and miss, as most will tell you they are mass produced so many of them are s**t but there are the few good ones i got a decent one had it 3mths no problems, but seriously if you can offord a better one then dont bother with the chepos Si

I have bought a few cheap ones, they are good if ya dont really care much about the PH
Look the pic, the middle one is a decent meter, the other two are cheapo's.

You get what you pay for. Save your money and put it toward a good one.

I bought a cheepo. It's all good until tey go bad in the middle of a grow or after a res change and you have to wait another 3 weeks for shipping to get another 1 and end up having no choice but to buy decent 1 quick from a hydro shop in the long run anyways. 1 would think well then I will just buy 2 of them but then what you have is to s*** meters.

i just got one in the mail. It arrived Defective. Can't say im surprised.
They are already sending me back a new one.
If i can get two uses out of it ill be happy.
NEed to buy a nice good One..Especially if i want to try DWC again..

I have had very good luck with the cheap yellow ones. Was like $12.00 with shipping, from USA. First one went bad in about a week, they sent me a new one without returning the old one. I had accidentally broke the first one. There is a cutout around the bulb, and I must have cracked it trying to put the cover on, and slipping. Bought 2 backup ones, in case I question readings. Have 4 and 7 PH test solutions, and the one I use all the time is right on, and has not needed calibration in 3 or 4 months.
I always rinse before and after readings with distilled water.
