Hello fellow growmies, Im having a situation that seems to come up after 2 or 3 months of getting a new Bluelabs PH pen. It seems like the ph pen takes longer and longer to actually settle on a value and I am beginning to question its accuracy. For example its takes like 5-10 min before it stops on a value. Before anything else I calibrate probably every 2 weeks the least, sometimes once a week. Storage solution is also applied every week. So in order to see if my ph pen is accurate, I have ordered and recieved a basic yellow cheapy ph pen and a Apera ph20 meter to see how the readings compare. Since its cold where I am now and I do everything in my basement, my water is usually sitting at 60 degrees which I dont know if thats another factor affecting readings. When I stick all 3 meters into one cup of my tap water, they all range from 6.4 to 6.8 to 7.0. They are all calibrated according to the instructions and solutions that were sent with them. I trust my bluelab the most so i go off that reading to feed my plants. Im in the process of putting in a troubleshooting ticket with bluelab since its still within the 1 year warranty. Id just like to know what i can do to ensure my ph meters are safe to use without breaking the bank.
