Indoor Paulg’s 2023 Grow

Twisted Trees Twisted Cookies Harvest day! Really sticky and sweet. I’m excited to taste test this one. A couple of take-aways from this grow: I thought she might be a mutant as a seedling (wrong!). One branch broke almost clear off, I taped it up and forgot about it (good thing I did). Seems like an easy strain to grow.

AMR is getting close, about 50% cloudy trichomes. I’m anxious to see the buds swell up! BM is starting to show some spotting on the leafs. She’s had the prescribed dose of BioBizz nutes. I’m considering going to water only and see if it clears up. Suggestions welcome. Amnesia 7 has sprung. These seeds were gifted me by Stew of the Elevated Botanist site. I had a fairly successful run of her last year but wanted to see if I could get better results with my improved gardening techniques. One new improvement will be to add a aeration stone to the GroBucket. Thanks for stopping by!

Well finally something out of the ordinary to report! Blueberry Mazar seems to have developed a calcium deficiency. I got some great advice from “Bill” here on AFN. My BioBizz lite is probably pretty depleted at this point. So, I’m feeding nutes judiciously each watering and added some earth worm casings to increase the Ca level. I’ve also added an air bubbler and started feeding hydroguard. The plant looks good except for the spotted leaves.
Amnesia 7 is on track. She’ll be topped and moved to a five gallon GroBucket very soon. Alien Moon Rocks is so close. About 15% amber, buy mostly on the top side of the leaves. I’m going to give her a little longer. No sign of any bud rot. Big week in the tent!

Busy week! The Blueberry Mazar was/is suffering from what seems to be a Ca deficiency. I top dressed some earthworm castings, fish bone meal and frass. I corrected the water pH, added Hydroguard and a bubbler. One would hope to see some improvement! I think she’s starting to turn around. Some of the leaves are dark green, others still are developing brown spots. Patience may be required . The colas are looking good 😊.
Amnesia 7 has been moved to a GroBucket. Im doing a twofer this time. Just an experiment to see what happens. Both plants were topped at the fifth node. Looking healthy.
Alien Moon Rocks met her end today. Day 106. It was a nice strain and very easy to grow. Moving forward this will be my preferred training method. I top at the fifth and remove the first nodes. This leaves me with six branches. Tying them down with wire in the five gallon buckets works really well. She developed into a very tight bush That fit perfectly in my 2x2 tent. To see if this approach worked, when harvesting I separated the main colas from the internal branches. Clearly, promoting the even canopy produce some good results. I included some pictures to show the results.

The Alien Moon Rocks is dried and in the curing jars. It didn’t have a real pungent odor at first, but each time I burp the jars I notice its getting sweeter and more complex. She weighed in at 90 grams. A personal best!
I’m getting excited for the Blueberry Mazar. She’s really starting to develop some long colas. A little back story on BM. They were the first seeds I bought. I was growing outside and my best harvest was 20 grams. A tasty smoke but barely worth the effort. In retrospect, the roots were badly stunted by the sun/heat. So, I wanted to try BM again, unfinished business.
Amnesia 7 is coming along. I notice some white tips on her leaves. We will see where it goes.
next up will be some Jean-o seeds. Oh boy! Thanks for stopping by.

Biggest change this wee has been Amnesia7. Looking real healthy and bursting forward. I’m growing two plants in one bucket as an experiment. So far, it seems to be working! Blueberry Mazar is well on its way to the finish line. She still show’s discoloration on some leaves. At this point, I think I’ve done all I can do. Upped the nutes, added Ca and some Mg, frass, hydroguard, etc. I’ll use my fall back plan and not worry!
I am seeing some small insects flying around. I put some mosquito Dunks in a small cup of water. It seems to be keeping them in check.

Good news: whatever was causing the spotting on the Blueberry seems to have been resolved. She continues to develop sweet sticky colas. About 50/50% cloudy to clear trichomes.
Bad news: little black gnats. Argh… I pulled everything out of the tent and cleaned it. Added some mosquito dunk powder to the soil surface. Added some sticky traps. I’m gone for the week. If it hasn’t cleared up the next step will be nematodes. Fingers crossed!
The Amnesia 7 is going crazy. Really healthy Plants. Its two plants in one bucket. Not sure if I will do this again but it’s worth a try.

A good week! I was away and returned to find the GroBucket’s water reservoir empty but the soil still moist. The plants thrived. I was experiencing a gnat infestation. It seems the mosquito dunks and traps worked! Blueberry is getting close, almost all cloudy trichomes but few amber. Amnesia went berserk. Two plants in one bucket is too much, the smaller one seems to be getting crowded. Who knows, maybe I’ll feel differently at harvest time. Thanks for stopping by.

Blueberry Mazar chop day! I’m excited to try this one. I’ve grown it twice already but in less than ideal outdoor conditions (too hot!). Both previous harvests were in the 20 gram range. This time around looks much better! I’ve made a few changes to my grow plan this time, all based on AFN advice. I’ve added frass, Hydroguard and aeration, via aquarium pump. I had a deficiency issue, probably calcium, that got resolved. I’ve included pics of each node’s product. You might find this interesting. In all, a good grow for me. As the Beatles said, “getting better all the time”!
thanks for all the great advice!
