Sweet Seeds Pasimito`s Sad Tent

I really wanna give SAD ago... But I think I want to try BlackJack just a lil more... Deff. gonna do a sweet seeds run one of these days!

 Pasi', how are ya, mate? I'm late to the show, but it's still got the best to come- :hump: ...You're nicely set up with your tent, and it's showing...so jealous of the GN beamers!! Excellent choice for a strain, SAD is one of their very best, and is among the favorite's of all time here.... many many grows, well documented, and still one of the potency champs out there! :wiz: Your girls look great, bro', veg'ing went very well indeed- stout, well branched,... and then *boom!!* goes the bloom stretch! *** LOL!- right on cue, the Ca-Mg defc. shows up,... gotta be the most common of all, and very easy to fix; some strains just are hogs when it comes to these nute's... I'm not familiar with that nute' line, does the dosage you mention state that it's for regular supplementing, or for more aggressive need defc. fixing? Point being, getting the goods in there ASAP to minimize stress and damage is a priority... have you considered foliar spraying as well? Nothing is faster, and, not that this applies to you in this case, it keeps the soil out of the equation... (should you ever run into pH, lockout soil issues)... A water spreader is something very handy to have around as well, for any soln. you may spray, or for soils that have become reluctant to absorb... I think AN has one called Wet Betty? These types of things are mild surfactants that take the surface tension out of the water, so what you spray coats and sheets evenly, instead of beading up and rolling off... basically, the more surface area that gets covered = more absorbed by the plant! If want to try this, let me know, and we'll go over it, so we minimize any potential prob's with mold, or even light burning,... Very nice work Pasi'! Wait until you see the frost SAD develops on her buds! :slap: *** Hedgehogs are a hoot! Do you have one as a pet? I saw some a while back at a pet store,... amazing little creatures!

Welcome aboard Waira. Glad You visited my tiny tent:) When i was looking for strain for this grow i read Your CC logs, beautifull girls You had mate. And nah i dont have hedehog:) just two cats. George the hedhehog is a fun comic hero:) Anyway the best is before us, girls seems to be more hairy every day now.

:tiphat: My pleasure bro'! Did you ever get those fine scissors for trimming? We all love da ladies with a fine trim job,... Thanks for the (too) kinds words on the CC's I had,... not the best work, but hell, I'm still learning too! Next time, try the Sweet Special, those came out far better grow-wise, and are outstanding plants to grow and smoke, especially! *** Are you seeing improvement on your girls with the defc. issue?.... here's an excellent review on diagnostics for such issues: https://www.autoflower.org/f74/self-diagnose-your-plants-basic-deficiencies-list-11.html
...good stuff! As you'll see, first important steps are not just what the symptoms are, but where they are on the plant- lower, higher, ... having to do with how mobile a given nute' is; symptoms at the top indicate a low to non-mobile nute', since the plant can't scavenge it from other, lower leaves,... and visa-versa! Early diagnosis can be tricky, as several of them look similar initially, so where they start can be a good clue to what's deficient,...

..:Gary: no worries there Pasi'! She has heavy duty Afghani lineage,... Sweet Special is also Indica dominant, and I can confirm she's mello in the head, and warm blanket heavy in the body! Have you checked out smoke reports on SAD? .... pure porn! ** Good sewing scissors! I know a couple folks who like those types because the blades spring back,...LOL!- But, I still say, if you can find them, score those cuticle scissors, the narrow skinny blades are the key to why they work so well! *** Got the PM- sounds good! Nice job to spot it, diagnose and treat very quickly....

And my Dark Devil in coco, just for test and fun( to feel the difference betwen soil and coco), she was topped week ago to stunt her a bit since i dont have room for another big plant.

Dark Devil day 18

Today i decided to ask You guys how do You water Your plants. I water straigth under main steam with no runoff, do i need to water everytime to get a runoff exess water, and to get all medium in pot wet?

In general you should water/feed until you get 10-20% runoff every time.
And you should water slowly enough for the entire medium in the pot to absorb water.
This is something I have really had to sit there and show people that you cant just dump a gallon of water into a growpot as fast as it will empty and think all the medium will have a chance to absorb.
Some mixtures really need to be watered over about 10 or 15 minutes, pour a little in, give it a few minutes to absorb, then pour a little more, etc..
Watering in in just one place of the container can create dry zones in the medium that the roots will not utilize.

When growing in soil the King likes to give his ladies a good hose down, ensuring a good soaking of all the growing media.... If the growing medium is entirely root colonised the entire medium needs to be watered to allow the roots access to the lovely nutrients... Some run off is good in the kings oh so humble opinion....

good luck...

edit. In agreement with the above post.... one should not allow ones growing media to get that dry that it has soaking-in problems...
