Papaver Somniferum Indoors.

There has been some progress in my plants.

My little led veg cab now has 3 little plants on 12/12. They seem to be doing quite well at the moment. My outside seedlings are suffering due to a recent cold & wet patch, but they are still surviving. There is probably going to be 4 of those plants, in a pot.

If possible, try to grow them directly in what ever pot/container they they'll be in their entire life.

It is possible to transplant them, but poppies have delicate roots and usually don't survive transplanting all that well. You'll have to be really careful and gentle. Generally speaking, poppies shouldn't be transplanted, it is possible to do though if one is super careful about it.

And they usually need to be spaced about 8 inches apart at minimum.

Wow, they definitely increased in size the last couple days! Mondays post to today if those are accurate.

Indeed mate, now it is a little warmer in my box the plants are taking off nicely.

Back again friends with a little update.

There are now 4 little plants in the cab, the 4th being one from my windowsill that was not doing great. It has picked up in the last few days tho. The little cheapo LED light seems to be ticking all the boxes at the moment for these plants.

Currently the box is being shared with a few Basil seeds being germinated. They are being removed in a couple of days, to give the poppies all the room. I give them another couple of weeks, and then they'll go into bloom phase in my tent.

Once these are removed from the cab I intend to start another 4 or 6 little cups in there & by the time they are ready to bloom it'll be getting close to my tent shutdown (winter).

This is a pic of the poppies I put outside, and while they are growing, they are nowhere near the size of the indoor ones.

There is a difference of about a week between them, and they are in the same medium.

I really don't think that outside is a good solution for me, but I'll let these grow & see what happens.

Cool indoor farming always fun popping seeds. I do not know anything about poppies so I am curious. Hope the little ones do their thing so I can see what they turn into without googling it :toke: Good luck Bud :pass:
