Hello everyone! New member here. I have a few outdoor grows on my resume but I'm still mighty green (pun intended) when it comes to growing sweetleaf so I'm looking for any helpful information you might send my way. This will be my first legal grow underneath the Oklahoma sun and my first attempt using coco coir, so I'm definitely looking forward to the warm weather ahead and with a little luck, a bumper crop of pain numbing medication. With that said, here is what I have planned. Northern Light, White Widow and Jack Herer feminized autos from CKS. VIVOSUN 5 gallon fabric pots filled with canna coco/perlite mix. Canna coco A & B nutrients along with CalMag plus. I do plan a little LST with these ladies and I want to try my hand at making feminized seeds with colloidal silver but that's about it. How soon should I start feeding nutes to an auto and how often? Everyday seems excessive but I understand I will have to water more often with the fabric pots, especially with them being outside. Looking forward to the feedback guys! Check back in later this afternoon. Smoke em if you got em

:welcome: Hi @Hophead76 and welcome to AFN! :welcome:

I've use to grow outdoors and used coco, but I would recommend mixing it 50/50 with a good soil, (like Fox Farm). The reasoning behind this is that coco on it's own will go into shock, (for lack or a better term), every time it rains. Anytime you grow with coco, you must always add feed every time you water, (and cal/mag too)! Also, I would recommend against fabric pots outdoors as they will dry out way too soon in the summer heat! A white plastic pot would be your best bet, like a 5 gallon bucket. Just my 2 cents! :headbang:

I better clarify that when I mixed coco with soil 50/50, I was able to treat it just like soil, ph 6.5 and it's ok to water with plain water if mixed 50/50. Also, when I advised against fabric pots I was thinking more along the 3 gallon capacity. So I really don't know much beyond that, (like using 5 gallon pots, ect..), and I do know some grower use huge fabric pots to grow outdoors. So I just wanted you to know that I don't know a whole lot and there's others here that can advise you a lot better! :headbang:
