Because these went together so nicely and flew up, today we prepared the adjoining space for a 4th to go here!

Cheers all!

Hey guys, It's that time again :)

This summer our plan is to reproduce the 2015 catalogue in it's entirety with fresh seeds, we are getting low-ish on some of the 2014 main strain stock and limited editions, but also we want to have enough seeds-banked to free us up to just work projects in 2016 and also so we can come on tour and work some trade shows.

Anyway, over winter, we've cleared our top plot which consisted of demolishing our old greenhouse, excavating some banking to make more space, we tarped the ground to kill of weeds and grasses (we aren't planting into the ground, but just to make things easier for us) and strimmed the entire property.

With some inspiration from looking at mossy's polytunnel, we've ordered 3 of 6x3x2m tunnels, there may be space to have some smaller ones up here too, which could be handy for segregating/reversing plants in.

We need to run a powerline up here, as we plan to have exhaust fans fior each tunnel, and then if it goes to plan de-humidifiers on humistats.

Here's the space but it's about 10m x 20m

This shows the full length but in the area on this side of the divide it'll be our mephisto veg patch, nothing fancy, some sweetcorn, peppers, tomatoes etc, just to give us a little extra cover.

there are more areas we can exploit, but this area of the property is going to be my domain, I'll let the others worry about their bits :)

Also, we've had some nice weather, it seems spring showed up over night, it was 23 degrees today. I had some auto blues rejects and didn't have the heart to pull them all.

cheers all!

Poor, little rejects, send them too me...........hehehe!

My Mephisto beans are being produced as I read this thread.

This is exciting.

Hopefully the plastic will last. I bought a similar polytunnel and the plastic covering disintegrate after one season of sun exposure. In any case looking forward to outdoor 2015

What brand tunnels Mitch and how much did they cost you each? Do they feel like they would stand up to wind? Ive considered putting something like that in my yard, or a greenhouse, but we get a lot of wind around here at times, not sure how it would hold up...

I used mine last summer and it still looks good. For $69 hell I could buy a new one every year and it still would be a bargain!

Mine blew away twice last year till I got smart. I bought 4, dog chain anchors and used 300lb test zipties to strap the frame to them. It didn't move after that and we get some heavy winds often

You could rebuy every year but it would be cheaper in the long run to cover the frame with conventional greenhouse plastic if the green one does indeed disintegrate. Regardless, I agree these pop up pollytunnle/hoophouse type greenhouses provide great value for the money.
