Hey guys, this time I'll be growing some Ortega Indica and CBD Kush. I'm quite fond of the CBD Kush so I figured I would do another round.
SETUP
Tent: 60x60x120cm (2x2x4 ft) Homebox XS
Fan: TD silent 280/380m3/h running at 150V
Filter: Carbon active 300m3/h
Light: GN MS0006 with 6 rebel modules.
Soil: Mostly Plagron grow-mix in 6.5L square pots with ~35% perlite. I ran out of grow mix so the top 2-3 cm is Atami Janeco Light mix.
Nutrients: Canna rhizotonic root stimulator, TNT complex(veg), bloom complex and phosphorus plus
SCROG net with 5cm squares
I had a small mishap during the germination. I put 2 CBD Kush beans and 2 Ortegas in a shot glass each. After 24 hours when I went to put them in the soil I noticed that the water the Ortegas were in was slightly cloudy. I feared it might be some left-over dishwasher detergent. After 3 days in the soil both Kush plants had sprouted but still no sign of the Ortegas. I did a bit of digging and found both seeds still not cracked open so I assumed that they were goners. I dropped two more Ortegas in a shot glass, making sure it was clean this time.
After 2 days in the soil I went digging for them figuring I might still be able to replace them if they didn't germinate. I carefully removed the soil and found that one has a tap root digging in and the other one has still not cracked. So yesterday I put the last bean in a glass of water. Today I saw that it cracked open already but when I went to put in the soil to replace the other one I noticed that the one that was already there had slightly cracked open as well. I guess I was a bit too impatient Woops
I will leave them both in some distance apart and if both sprout I will pull one of them.
If one of them comes up in a reasonable time it will be 7-8 days apart from the CBD Kush, which I hope is still managable. The feeding schedule might be a bit trickier initially but once they go into flower I hope I can run them on a similar schedule.
Day 2
CBD1
CBD2
I'm currently running two spots (60W) at 60cm 24/0. As soon as they've all sprouted and stopped the initial stretch I will switch over to 18/6.
