Hi y'all

Here's a great link on Organic Nutrients:
http://hydroponicssystems.co/hydrop...ponics-systems-organic-nutrients-fertilizers/

My specific interest is in Bat Guano, as a safe(r) and effective fertilizer.

Discovered there's two types:
Insect eating bats = High N (good for Veg)
Fruit eating bats = High P (good for Bloom)

Now, as AF's have such a short Veg period, I'm assuming our interest would be in the latter.
I found a few on EBay, but the P amount was different depending on the bat (Indonesian vs. Jamaican, for example).

My question: Of these 3 P profiles (10,12, or 17), which best suits the needs of AF's?

As they say, less is always more....or is it, the more the better....or, can't have too much of a good thing, or.......er....um....

:)

i just recently started using bat guano, and my plants seem to enjoy it. cant say i have any complaints so far, but time will tell.

and to answer your question, im not home at the moment but im pretty sure my flowering guano is 12-P.
at my local grow store they sell bags of it for around 9$ so imo you get a good bang for your buck

Thanks Joker

Good to know. Sounds like the 17 might be over-kill.
How do you apply yours? As a tea?....directly to the soil?.....
And when did you start? 3...4 weeks in?

Why so serious? :p

well the bags i get come with instructions on the back for how much to apply, i usually stick to those guidelines but when i first start i use 1/2 of what the recommend then work my way up.
and yes i mix mine into a tea, but i also sprinkle a little bit on top of the soil (not completely covered) but just a good little sprinkle. And with my autos ill give them a small dose of veg nutes around week 3 or 4 (since i use FFOF soil i dont risk burning to early) then after that i switch to the flowering guano. But im still learning myself when it comes to the guano, but maybe another member can chime in and give you a second opinion.

wanna know how i got these scares?

btw my flowering guano is
0.5-12-0.2

i may have the N and K mixed up, but u get the idea

Hey guys was just interested to know if any of u have used the bio bizz range,I have the all mix soil and the grow and bloom nutes, and advice is most welcome

ask around in the "sanctuary"... i haven't used them but someone there may have an answer

Another GREAT link on soil additives.

Super Soil

That, combined with my original post, should answer most organic additive questions.

Hope that helps!
