I have to go on vacation for a week and I have a choice between my 5 week plant on the balcony with 7 hours of direct sunlight or indoors under a 5w grow light 24 hours. I may have another 5w grow light but I need to check. This was a very non serious grow. I had seeds lying around that were getting old and. I didn't want them to go to waste which is good because this was the only seed of 3 that survived.

Assuming it’s an Auto, personally I would leave outside. If your bulb went out or there was some disruption they would still be getting light. However, there are far more scientific minds on her with much more experience.
A bigger question is how are you going to water it/them?

I live in Thailand. It's rainy season, I'm actually more concerned about it being over watered lol

maybe mount an umbrella above it?
Well I did consider cutting some trash bags and putting over the soil

Yes some sort of tarp to put over the plant or indeed the soil. because the plant is so small I thought about an umbrella
