New Grower ? on harvesting same plant gradually

i pinched a bud off my crystal storm earlier today ,and even though she could still swell a bit, strength wise she's just where i like her . thing is , most of the side branches have still a bit to go. i thought i read somewhere that if you were to harvest the main kola first that you should remove only the bud and leave main stalk. is this true? obviuosly it would be way easier for me to cut it where i would like to but i dont want to do it at the expense of the rest of the bud. would appreciate any thoughts on it, or if anybody has any experience of a noticeable difference doing it either way i would love to hear about it.

Grow it till chop time and chop the whole plant. Unless you have super autos I don't see a reason where top trimming will benefit you. Sounds like you need side lighting next time.

Iv read muddy say he sometimes chops the main cola before the rest of the plant mate,he then let's the rest carry on but I'm not sure about the stem thing

Yah you can but without pics I can't tell you if it's worth the time and effort. How far along is it and how long do you predict it has to go now?

youre right tshirt, i do need side lighting . the reason i'm thinking about it is because i dont want the top buds to amber up too much more but at the same time i would like the lower buds to swell and amber up a little more. thanks for the input bro:smokebuds:

I mean you can but with that much taken away expect shock in the plant. If its a decent size I would expect a week delay

Just do it..take the Whole top cola..cut through the mainstem..the side buds will swell and mature...
