Indoor OK, I'm in... Pyramid NYC, World of Seeds NL X BB, Fast Buds GSC

So its 30 days in. I think I am starting to see the merits of DIY COBS.

I have two different chinese cob lights in and running. One has the driver built onto the chip and the other is the standard that everyone turns their nose up at. Thw two of them are really dominating the lights that I had running. Blurple is not a tinge in the shadows and no longer notable on the surface of the leaves. I have been torturing the younger GSC and it has thrown quite a few growth points to reward me. Lets hope she kicks it into gear in the near future. She is 5 days behind so it is only day 25 for her. The NYC was shading heavily from the main stem so I broke her over gently and the entire branch has exploded in growth. Pretty happy with that.

My largest and earliest to flower has been the NL X BB. She is well on her way and I think it might well be a merry Xmas after all. I ahve been out since July so come on baby daddy is ready for a taste of the good life.

And a couple of pictures of the ugly lights. I should see another 8 chips show up over the coming weeks. Supposedly I have 4 soon to be delivered. I hope so.

And as always, thanks for stopping by.

Now its off to the espresso machine. Got some freshly roasted coffee to enjoy!

Thanks SmO. You have been an inspiration for bigger and better lighting. I can see the difference in the plants even though it has only been a day. The great thing will be when they start putting on new foliage that is acclimated to the heavier light. Its gonna be fun! Oh wait, it already is.

So here we are at day 31. I wasn't going to do another update so early but there has been major changes in the system.

You see, I have switched to Brawndo... It's got what plants crave. It's got ELECTROLYTES!!!

I finally got my cob chips in and got the massive high quality lighting system I always dreamed of. And I have to say it seems to be awfully damned bright. The plants are off and running heavily now and two are in flower now. The GSC is still lagging but the rosettes tell me that it is about to go UP! @qwezdan1 you were way out in the front on that one. The youngster is only 26 days but she looks to be ready to branch out like a rose bush.

So on with the girls.

NL X BB. Am I seeing tryches this early?

Next comes the New York City. I broke her over hard the other day and she has been pouting a bit. Looking forward to seeing her turn it on.

And the Girl Scouts. Hope they live up to their reputation! The 2nd is the youngster.

Awesome leaves and great stems. I just love to see no signs of nute burns. I'm running way too many plants to adjust to individual needs, so smallest girls suffer from slight burn. I honestly can't see any deficiencies or problems here (maybe juuuuust a little bit of MG def but nothing to worry about). Do you plan to do a final flush 7-10 days before the chop? I'm way ahead here obviously but just curious where do you stand on this matter :)

Hey @qwezdan1

Cant help but smile every time I see your coffee avatar. Drinking some fresh roasted Panama Lerida Estate that's about 3 hours old at the moment and its just smooth as butter out of a Vacuum Pot.

I will probably run them pretty hard right up to the last moment of chop. I might make adjustments on the fly depending on what the plants look like but I don't personally think there is any need to let up. It might mean a little more time in the dry and cure phase to get them right but my theory is that they should be at their most potent if run hard through the end. The next run I think I can get a better blend on my soils which should give me a chance to see better growth. Fabric pots are next up. there is no way I could grow more than what's in the tent right now and I had originally planned to just run 3 until the panic attack over the start of the cookies. Now that I have some additional lighting I am going to set my cabinet up and start using it to veg for the first 30 days or so to get a little higher output of the system. I can move them into this tent when the start to flower or as space allows. Next up is going to be some Northern Lights and probably the last cookie seed. After that who knows. I am really looking for a couple of seed recommendations but want to do some Mephisto to see what all the hype is about.

Speaking of which. Anyone got a seed recommendation that will make me feel like this?

I'm a huge fan of coffee! I was even thinking about growing it :smoking: As for seed recommendations I can personally vouch for Dutch Passion's AutoUltimate being the biggest yielder there is today. If we're talking potency - Gorilla glue [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] from FastBuds is no joke (I doubt 24% THC they claim but 20% seems legit). For insomnia go for Bubba Kush (go for pre-98 if you can find one). For pain relief Critical Mass CBD is awesome. Also there are classic strains like White Widow and Northern lights which are really stable and predictable and overall a pleasure to grow. If you like aroma, go for lemons (Lemon skunk or haze).
P.S. Best with coffee - strawberry cough syrup. Don't think there's an auto version tho. GSC is second best so you're in for a treat in a few months :pass:

Just keep plugging along. I'm really hoping for a successful run with these cobs and so far they look phenomenal.

Personally I think dinafem has the largest producers of all breeders I have come across. The xxl strains can hit 1/2 lb in 80 days. Gsc seems to have way to many phenotypes. Some short and fat and some tall and skinny. Definitely potent just unreliable. Mephisto seems to have the highest quality of all breeders. One guy here posted pics with more frost on fan leaves then most plants have total. Either way you genetics are just a piece of the pie.

Not sure if I mentioned to you or not but it's best to hold off on bloom nutrients till the plants stop stretching. Then a gradual transition and right into full flower. If given bloom nutrients to soon they will trigger the plants to stop growing and start producing. I could never figure out why my first crops were so small but fat till a member here told me about it. Since I have pulled some serious weight and grown some 4x4 6 footers. I don't know why it's not mentioned anywhere in any forum or guide but I have seen first hand the difference.

You are growing some monsters BIGSmO
