This is my first grow and I've felt the whole time my plants were behind in growth. My OG Kush strain has been doing the best and it still seems behind by most other standards. It is on day 42 since germination and I still don't think it's showing gender. It is suppose to be a auto fem but again not sure if what caused the slow growth might also affect the gender? Any ways attached is a picture that shows the over all small size for it's age and also a close up of where I'm assuming I should be seeing signs of gender by now.

I'm not really sure why they are growing so slow the only thing I can think of it I am growing in a
basement which get to about 58 when the lights and off and only 70 when they are on. Any ideas on what stunts plants so much? Like I said this is the biggest out of the bunch and should be showing gender.

Low temperatures stunt growth in general, she could be bigger, what light do you use? And at what time frame? What is the %RH of the space.
In veg stage they use a lot of water from the air so a rh of 60% 65%
To tell you the truth she looks very nice. Maybe she is just a bit shy, give her some more time.

Need more info like soil type, nutes used and schedule.type of lights and hours of on time.

May as well go lights on 24 hours to stabilize those temps, to start. Then it would help to know your whole setup lights, nutrients, medium, etc.

I started with a four bulb T5 at first and until it got it;s first couple of leaves I have a 400w MH that I have been using since. The light cycle is 18/6. I am actually waiting on a RH meter in the mail so no clue what that could be at right now I have been leaving an open container of water in the room though. and Thank you. They all look pretty healthy which is why I'm like why won't you grow!

Yes I was considering doing that but I already am running an air cooled ballast without the air cooling to help up the room temp I wasn't sure is having that running all the time would be harmful to the light fixture.

I am using coco perlite 70/30 mix in 5 gallon buckets. 1 400 watt MH bulb 18/6 and feeding them once a week with grow more nutes. Because It's in a cool basement I rarely ever have to water the soil stays pretty moist. I keep the PH around 6.3 as well.

I grow in in straight coco and run my lights 24/7 to keep my temps stable I like to keep temps 77-79f and humidity about 50%. I run LEDs so a slightly warmer temp is better.

You should keep your temps as close to 75f as possible. If you need to turn the air cool on your ballast go ahead. You could get an oil filled rad to help warm things up or use your t-5 to side light and add heat.

Ideal pH for coco is 5.8 drifting up to 6.0-6.2 is safer than drifting down to 5.6-5.4, so shoot for 5.8 and if you get a little higher once in a while that's okay. I'd avoid going below 5.8 if possible. Coco also requires watering to run off once the plant is a couple weeks old. With coco you also get more growth when you water more frequently. So the longer you go between watering the slower you grow.

You won't turn this grow around as far as yield goes your plants are probably a bit too stunted, but you can get a quality first harvest.

First go to 24/7 light schedule then increase temps to 75-77. Then give each plant a nice thorough drenching to about 20% runoff always include nutrients in your water with every feeding in coco.

You should have an oscillating fan moving your plants and the air in your tent. Ass well as good airflow through the tent (extraction system).

Growing is about continuously upgrading your equipment and skills. The start you have now is much better than my start and I get good quality these days, do stick with it.[emoji6]

Are your buckets directly on the floor? The soil and roots will be cold if there isn't something to insulate them.

Awesome thank you for the advice. I haven't been doing the 20% run off I didn't know and I do have an oscillating fan but no ventilation because I'm in a whole room not a tent, I hope that's ok. It has the heating vent bringing in fresh air and taking it out of the room and I don't think I've had any problems yet.

Oh that's true I didn't even think of that! all I have is a white water proof fabric on the bottom, seriously glad you brought that up!

Any suggestions on something that could raise them off the floor and maybe also catch the run off I'm suppose to be having?
