I am growing 1 Sunk#1 Auto plant in my bathroom and my whole house smells like a skunk. Can someone please give me an idea on how to cover the smell. I have an air conditioning repair man coming in the morning and dont want him to smell my plant. Any Ideas?

I always thought all odour control products in growshops were no good and nobody needs them, but I was wrong! :D:
I just used a sample some growshop guy gave me yesterday, because my whole garage smelled like drying buds + dogshit.
It worked surprisingly well, the old smell was overpowered by a smell of sweet rotting lemons, and fresh laundry. Simple stuff in a pumpspraybottle, like perfume.

In case of emergency : put a pizza in your oven and take it out as soon as the colour matches the colour of the street in front of your house, and you should be golden :D:

PS : I don't own a dog.

You're welcome. You can also just spray some of this on some watercrystals and put the soaked odor jellycube's in a cup or something. That way people can't define the stink for a good few days. More of a long term solution than spraying the stuff directly around :High 5:.

You need to be addressing the removal of the smells; not masking them. Trust me; you're going to raise just as many eye brows with super blasted minty lemon smells coming out of your window as you would with cannabis.

I started writing a comprehensive guide on odor control and reduction methods here on AFN. It's a work in progress; but if you want a more detailed looked at some techniques that are available and how and why they work; it might be worth your time:

Hands down your best option is investing in a carbon scrubber. Carbon scrubbers actually remove the odor causing molecules from the air and trap them in the pores of activated carbon (charcoal.) This is one of the best, most cost effective, and long term solutions you can use, PLUS, you can use the filter again for several grows before needing to replace the carbon.

Deodorizers and odor maskers simply spray volatile molecules into the air that intermingle with the molecules already present.

Essential oils can be very beneficial (like ONA products,) as the oil molecules diffused actually bind to the terpene molecules and create a new compound (with a totally different smell.) The problem with essential oils is that there are a LOT of different terpenes in all the different strains of cannabis; so it will not bind to every single one of them (that's why you hear "hit or miss" stories with essential oil products.)

Scrubbers are pretty cheap; a 4" scrubber is about $46 USD on Amazon.com and a 6" is around $70 USD; plus the cost of an inline fan to suck air through them. It's an investment into your future growing, safety, and security. Highly recommend.
