OK this is my Sumo WW Original, coming up to... 8 weeks I think. What's with these leaves? Is it rust? Neither of the other two plants in the tent are affected. Sorry it's a bit blurry, but you can probably see the discolouration.

Any ideas folks? Should I be worried?
Setup: 133W total CFL, tent temps 24-26C, one feed of Bloom given so far but otherwise plain water when pot's dry beyond the one-knuckle depth. If you need more info let me know.

I do believe we have a winner!!!

Time to get on the CalMag band wagon. Learned this one of late the hard way just as you are now. It will quickly shape up with a liberal dose. Foliar app will be faster if you have the setup for it. 2 dollar spray bottle and some CalMag. Easy setup. Give both foliar and watering for a week.

Looks like calmag deficiency to me..

i not sure thats it

I have the precise same markings on the lower fan leaves on 2x OG Kush's.. and i have a lot of both cal/mag in my water... i never add any..

i think it's a strain thing as long as the rest of the plant isn't showing same u be fine.. :eyebrows:

I have no idea if the water's low on Cal/Mag. Is there an easy way to make something up as a foliar feed? I have Mag Chloride flakes coming but I don't know when they'll get here, and as for the calcium...? Suggestions welcome, I don't know when I'll be able to get to the grow shop next.

Everyone has a favorite but I was recommended Botanicare CalMag and I have been pretty impressed with it's performance thus far. I have a fertilizer that has both in it so I thought I would be able to forgo it but that turned out not to be the case. I am of the understanding that if you are growing under LED's this is a given. I had to see it and as usual it reared it's ugly head at the worst possible moment. Yours is quite early and should respond quickly. Not sure about Mag Chloride as I have never worked with it before. Hopefully one of the big guns will be along shortly to address it in short order.

Aarg it's the calsium defiency again. It haunts me everywhere these days. I got it in my garden too :grump:

If you have applied calmag, or if your nutrients have already good amount of it, check your soil pH so you know there is no lockout.

:toke: Yup, straight up Ca defc. symptoms, mate, no Mg defc. here... don't use the MgCl flakes! ...(epsom salts are MgSO4)... Pudden' has recommended a good choice, which has several other goodies in it, so read the label carefully about what's in there... if you're keeping it simple with nutes and supp's, this is a great choice because of the extras,... one of my fav's is General Organic's CaMg+, a simple formula (no extras in it per se) that's all carbonate based, which can help with pH control (carbonates are involved with pH buffering)....
Good choice to do a foliar, IG! Do you have a wetting agent/water spreader? This is an important addition to any foliar treatment; basically, it makes what you spray coat and stick more evenly.. more surface area covered = more absorbed-... Get the leaf bottoms as well, more stomata are located there,... If you really want to kick ass, score some Optic Foliar Transport, a product that allows temporary penetration of nutes right through the leaf cuticle layer instead on just the stomata openings!

@Waira OK so some of what you said has gone over my head LOL. I was fine until you got to the bit about a wetting agent, but reading it again I understand. However, I don't currently have anything to foliar feed with, and I have no idea if my local grow shop has anything (and they don't speak English). I might get there later, I'll have to see, but by necessity this is a cheap grow so substitutions for home-prepped remedies are welcome!

I finely crushed 2 egg shells and made holes down to the roots, and poured the bits in then gave it a water. I don't expect immediate improvement but as I saw the first trichomes on her yesterday as long as it doesn't get any worse I can live with it. About time on the trichomes too! She's been up 9 weeks...

Thanks to @stepside @Puddentane @MedGrower @Slowmo @Waira for your help!
