Nutrient burn from vermifire

Hey Jeff,

maybe first you should open a thread in the right section which is the infirmary one or maybe @budelee could move ya there...Staff and also other members are there helping ou there...

checked up my tap water again and here ya see ph and ppm of it...

the accurate 8 you get here...

ph at watering should work well at 6.5 using things like ph down or ph up of your tap water and ppm is depending at which stadium of vegetation or flower the plant is currently and the strain choice and if they are photos or autos...anyway if the newer growth of the plants look healhty green with no burn signs they should be ok, but i remember also some tip burning at the tops...then maybe you must flush the bags by 3×times of water of what is your medium having in the bags...
hope i could help you a little bit more, but your save here on AFN dealing with your issues...the best canna site on the web!:pass:

:toke: Jeff-- how deep was the Promix layer, and when did you transplant? I can't see the seedlings, so can't tell if they are suffering,.. but auto roots dive deep fast, and would be in the Vermifire way sooner than 3 weeks... That is a hot soil, like OF (which is another issue, crap soil quality control with FF; very often their soils are badly off pH out of the bag!), and usually there's clear sign that they seedling don't like it! That said, looking at the symptoms,... you added no other nutes, not even Ca-mg right? If so, what i see in those faded lowers is not nute burn, though I do see some yellowed tips, a bit if tip claw, which are signs of soil hotness,... nute burn will affect newer growth first and worst usually, and show in the tips margins of older leaves as well to variable degrees,... Like Mongol said, run-off is not an accurate reading of actual in-pot pH, to many other factors involved, though it can give a crude estimation,.. that dropper test may not the best, what resolution does it have? OK if it's at least +/- 0.2 pH resolution,... Anyway, the faded lowers look mostly like Mg defc.; I see some mid level leaves fading too, not Mg I think, something else like P,... that's a pretty generic looking symptom when early on, hard to say yet for sure which defc.,... problem is, the soil isn't a complete source of all nutrients, it's not meant to be in fact,... it can be hot, but not well rounded in it content; often it's micronutes and certain secondary nutes that are missing or in short supply,... Given the pH r-o reading, and uncertain accuracy, the pH might still be ok, or borderline,.. if you got something in the 5's, that'd be another matter,... The transplant, when did that happen? Did you just plug then right in, no messing with roots? Root shock will stunt the plants if bad enough,... rootball must not be harmed! the dilemma is, if the originalsoil is still a problem, then it will continue to be since the roots are still in it, not yet expanded into the new media,....
what nutes do you have? I'd start Ca-Mg right away, and blooming girls will need a bloom formula,... let us know what you have so we can figure a dilution rate for easing into it,... Ca-Mg can go in at label rates...

>> brudda Mongol :thanks: many thanks mate for helping! :pass:

** I'll move this to the Infirmary now,...*** :smoking:

I didn't realize what section I was posting in but I would appreciate if someone could help me move the post. I appreciate all the help how exactly does ppm work as I said I'm pretty new to things.there is burning at the top. I will do a flush.

The promix was in a blue solo cup with the bottom cut off as I had heard prior about starting seedlings in hot soil. But autos don't like transplant. I gave nothing to them but water at this point. The burning definitely started and is most previlant at bottom newer growth but as you seen is mobile. I only messured runoff as a last resort I will be investing in a proper pH pen asap. I will get calmag in the morning. What to do about p? I transplanted yesterday night and all seem happy but one which is straight towards the light I will add a picture to get your thoughts. Roots were very established I dipped them in room temperature water to remove as much soil as possible. Then into new soil.the was some roots lost but minimal. I use roots organic nutrients just basic buddah grow and buddah bloom. Should I put some type of root nutrient on to the ones that were transplanted. Thank you so much for the help. There is also a picture of the others that are younger that I transplanted before problems could start. All the rest are either in green field or pro mix so their safe and that is the way I'll be keeping it from this point forward. How do you feel promix vs green fields.?
