I'm new to growing. I'll be using a 4x4 with a Mars Hydro TS 3000. Is there a simplified easy nutrient package for beginners. Trying to avoid complication as I begin. Many of the products schedules have 6-10 items listed to follow their feeding schedule. I have been leaning towards Honegrown Cannabis Co. basic nutrient package as it looks very simple to follow. Has anyone used their product? I can't seem to find any reviews on their nutrients.

You might want to consider Mega Crop, Jacks, GeoFlora or General Hydroponics Maxi grow series.

They are all one part stand alone nutrients that can be used for a full grow with no additional unicorn pee

Combine one of them with a medium like ProMix HP or Sunshine Mix #4 and you are set !

The reason I recommend a medium with no added nutrients is you have complete control over the amount of feed, no guessing how much the medium provides and whether or not it has run out....

Cheers

I would just buy coast of Maine Stonington blend soil and get the Stonington blend dry fertilizer and topdress use that you don't need bottles. Just add ro water and molasses mid flowering. You can usually get ro water for like 30cents a gallon at a co op or get a filter yourself or www.findaspring.com if your lucky enough to have.a local spring and get a 5 gallon water container like ten bucks. Maybe make some bananas ffj and onion ffj for flowering.

PRO-MIX BX and HP? PRO-MIX BX is a general purpose growing medium, compared to PRO-MIX HP which is a High Porosity growing medium. These products are the same in pH and chemical properties. The difference is that PRO-MIX HP contains a higher percent of perlite than PRO-MIX BX

I'm a die hard ProMix HP user :cooldance:

Currently running Mega Crop one part and GH MaxGro/Bloom, both with Good results.

Not together, he, he... Same grow, different plants.

I think your suggestion might be more appropriate for an intermediate grower with some experience.

But thank you for offering another option !

How can just adding water be not newbie friendly
How much top dressing ? Just follow the directions ? How does a beginner tell when the soils nutrient load is depleted ?
How much molasses ? What does it Really do ?
Same with the bananas ffj and onion ffj for flowering ?
Is a beginner supposed to know what ffj is ?
Fermented fruit juice, again what amounts and what benefit ?

And the water ? Sure, lets make that more complicated....

ProMix HP, Mega Crop and GH Maxi series are all ph buffered. Not sure about Jack's.
I use them Without phing my well water !
