Lighting Noob asking for advice

Guys,

Btw i got a cooltube, 400watt hps (lumatek i think) and 400W electronic dimmable ballast. Buut no tent, no filter, no exhaust fan, no inline fine. My question is, can i just use a cloth hanger stand and put the girls under it? and hanger stays in the room openly (with a tower ventilator). Is this a good idea? or shall i just keep growing under t5 until i get a decent tent? (i have now 2 autos and 2 photos growing)

I just wanted to inform you about my girls. Only 2 autos survived my noob time (smiley) now i have 4 plants under 400 watt hid. (2 autos and 2 photos. I have no ideas what to do with photos. They are just there with autos. T5 is busy atm with my new project anyway, here some pics. I hope you like it (@ day 47

You may struggle with the photos, when you force flowering they will double in size.

the tent is 2m high. I dont think its a big problem, isnt it? they are now max 1 foot. The problem is, they need 12 hours of light and autos are getting 18 hours. So if i force them now to flower and put under 18 hours, they will switch to vegging right? hehe. Since i cant avoid the smell with ona products, i will have to find another solution, which i deny atm. Next friday i will get officially divorced and maybe will move to my new girlfiends appartment and will have to kill those plants. Dunno atm.

The autos will be ok on 12 hours. Their yield will be lower,but you will make up for that with the photo harvest.

If you leave it till the autos are done, the photos may outgrow your space.

I grow under a 600 watt HPS light from seedling to finish. I do have a 150 watt HPS that I use at times (if the seedlings cannot handle the 600 watt) but in almost every case I don't have any problems I just raise my light up high to keep the temps down on the seedling canopy. Also helps them stretch. Hope this helps.@Regen. But I have grown a Auto Fire99 under my 150 watt HPS and got over 4 oz's from her and had to cut it at day 68 but it could have went around 75 days but had to cut her due to certain situations.

You can get away with a few hours if you are lucky. But the dark period MUST be dark for the whole time.

A little bit of light for 15 minutes during the dark period is enough to stop flowering.

Scrog, yes! Switch them soon.

Today was the big day!!! I was so exited and ıt went so smooth. Just chopped my two girls and harwested total 555 + 409 gr woooow. Almost 1 kg! Omg... Thank you so much guys for all the support. I will begin soon with a new journal (well, its almost 29 day old but goy my photos ) so here we go:
