Nocturnal Lights & Beyond - A Mephisto & Secret Owl Odyssey

I know brother. The grass is always greener on the other side, kinda feeling...
I'm currently experimenting with an additional UV light to promote trichome production.

I seem to remember reading something about cell elongation being more active during night time periods. So other processes will also be affected by a light/dark cycle. But I can't help but think that an autoflower, because it is missing the activation gene to go into flower, would be likely that the other processes won't work the same as in a photo.

That being said, who am I to advise you into another direction when you have results like these?

Still happy to discuss growing techniques as I'm still learning my friend

I do notice a little difference with the addition of my UVA but there's much more to it then that plain, A,B,C,D.....:dizzy:The only reason I have the UVA is because I won the light in a contest here :vibe: But I do agree with NA in regard to giving the plants a dark period so between that and UV there is a very noticeable difference in terps

Have you seen this video between this video and my experiences along with others here that have more there is no doubt in my mind that plants need a rest

When it comes to UVA, I try an mimic nature. Peak UV occurs between 10A & 2P in summer. I usually introduce UVA at the beginning of stretch for one half hour at noon, and expand the duration equally from there in two day increments until I hit a max of three hours. An hour before noon, noon, and one hour after. With peak power setting across the noontime hour, and slightly backed off the rest of the time.

Literally just unplugged mine cause I think I might have been frying the little ones with it their <2wk old. I'm going to put the UVA on a different timer when I introduce it back in around the time you say :toke::worship::thanks:

Younglings seem to be sensitive to UVA IME as well. But once they hit stretch, they are gearing up and ready for more intense light.

Thanks for the bumps Amigro!
