Mystery Solved
For 2 days I've wondered why in spite of supposedly catching a mag deficiency at its first sign, It almost kicked BM2's butt. Last night I talked with the sitter again. She had called me while I was away to say she had cleaned up a few of the browning leaves at the bottom. I thought little of it then or when I got home to a minor "lolly popping". Last night we realized that her "Brown" was really the first sign of rust a week previous. The deficiency had a week jumpstart on me and had spread to the whole plant before re-emerging as a pinprick like rash. I'm impressed that the epsom was able to react so fast and effectively hold its own. Not as pretty anymore, the discolored leaves are still rising to the occasion and shes still packing on the flowers.

I'd love to have one grow go from start to finish w/o any deficiencies ... not very likely though ... I think the fact that once a leaf shows signs of deficiency that leaf will not improve makes it especially frustrating ... I've had a bunch of plants that by the time harvest came around there were no leaves to remove, just bud ... hang in there ...
I started growing with jobst sticks and a handbook. So the tab concept isn't new to me. They are a great tool but I still want to learn it all. They just give me more time to expand. I tried a micky mouse form of wet grow with some AK. it turned out ok after you stepped in and only made it to then because of Rebel Roy, DAB, and others.
I was cooking them for sure.
The key might be to prep the soil with cal ,mag, from the start. Epsom and bone meal in my case. When I see how fast a handfull watered in worked to turn the mag around, I realize how consumable they are and that that one treatment may not be enough so a routine needs to be set. More so with the LEDs.
I'd rather start in cups of virgin soil if necessary then stick in the boosted soil after 10 days. .But you may remember my luck with seeds and cups.:Aw shucks:

I might have figured it out. The odorous resin is first most a defense, then attractant. Looking closely trying to decide which luv'er ly bud to take, I found a small gossamer web. That spurt may have been a reaction to an attack.
5 days into a good daily flush and I'm Hanging the top buds tonight.
I have never had spider mites or even know what to look for but the web is there, I have amber, so chop chop, off with her heads.
I Gotta tell you brother, smoking the cola at my typical #5 was ok. But when I cranked it all the way to #7 to try, it is just kick ass awesome. Its going to be just as awesome at #5 when cured.
