OLD REVIEWS Nirvana Ak 48

Nirvana AK-48's notoriety is that after veg, it goes from onset of bloom to harvest in as little as 48 days.

But as those before me have stated correctly, it is a photoperiod strain.

Hello

Know this is old but can't seem to find much of anything on Nirvana Auto AK48. I have 5 plants into week four from seed and was looking for some journals for comparison, timeline purposes. it is sold as an auto variety.

why cant I find any journals or info? Anyone try these? Or can point me to any info, I'm learning and havt found much

Nirvana used to have an AK48 that was an auto but they had trouble w/ the auto feature so they called them photo for a while ... I see they have them available in auto flowering again ... I grew the photo variety and they did fine ... more than likely the auto variety will flower w/o changing the lights but if they haven't flowered by 6 weeks I'd change the lights to 12/12 ... I would expect them to flower properly even at 24/7 ... have yours begun to flower yet ? What type of light are you using ?

awesome to have some helpful interest, thanks

i definitely bought them as autoflowers, feminized, bout 2 months ago from nirvana (the sagamartha thing is confusing), i thought maybe they were a new thing. i have found posts here and there that were negative, but all i found was from years ago, so im hoping theyve come a long way, and being new, would explain my hard time finding info

I dont think they have begun to flower yet, my first go at this, but i have done some homework, a lot. thats why i am after some pic for comparison. i thought i saw a pistil here and there, but cant say for sure, from what i gather, it can be obvious but not always. i am being impatient, but it doesn't help to read a lot of the 'never flowered' and i dont want that
anyways, heres where im at, where i been

5 Nirvana fem. Ak48
coco/per 70/30
200w HO-T5 for the first 28 days in a cab, got crowded
moved to bigger space under
400w MH now HPS (might be to soon??), 24/0, and i keep em close
canna coco a+b, GH Rapidstart, GH CalMg+, fresh spring water (ppm 120 or so) always phd to 5.8
run to waste
lots of airflow
temps in cab were 75-78
they are a little lower now 70-76

i think, never experienced any of this part of cannabis before, but i think, they are doing really well, bit crowed, the new space is not that much bigger, but i keep as close to the lights strongest footprint anyway
today they are 31 days old. Nirvana's site say "usually see pre-flowers around the 4th week", i i know i am to stay the course, and am hoping to see some signs soon.

i really wish i could see this strain in some journals, but again, can seem to find. maybe to new? hoping new and improved. i had night mares that they wont flower then they did into crazy male plants. i knew im just buggin, and impatient.

im thinking about putting together a journal, just not sure where and how exactly, as this forum business is as new as the plant

anyway, any help, tips, wld be fckin great, its a bit much navigating all the wonderful fact packed info the people of the internet have to offer

oh i get it now, 'so not auto', ive read a lot of good about the photo 48's, i loved the idea of autos as a first grow, perhaps a photo next, but why 6 months? just to veg the shit out of em for yeild, or is that an indica trait? im only a little patient, another reason for the autos

pistils.jpg
Pistils maybe?

im still looking, it might be early yet, but i found these things, the are kinda white, seem to be darkening at tip, really only see them on 1 of the five.

i know its a bad pic, let me know what you think regardless, or not, tell me to chill and be patient

one more for tonight, most of the 5 are about 12" tall like this one
so would you say the stretch has or is happening, growth seems to have slowed a little. or will these not stretch untill flower has truely began?

i did some tying down lst the last few weeks, canopy seems even enough, but i dont really know what im doing, i just bent the main stem over and others as they came, it has made them bushy and flatish, i think that is the objective. get so better light distribution?
i enjoyed the sculptural quality of it, but not sure of the effectiveness of my technique
