Newer to scrogging

@High-Dro Mephisto You have missed the concept of SCROG entirely and have built a support system. The SCROG growth is completed mostly during veg. The idea is to take the main growing stems and grow horizontally by weaving them in the scrog net. Ideally you expose each bud node to the light in it's own square. one or two to a square. I have been able to sorta do a SCROG on a Auto but you really need to use Photos for a proper scrog because it takes several weeks of veg to fill the nets.

Ya mine was a trial run using an auto! Rocbudinc frozen scoops! My 1st time using it tho!

Im confused, My plants where all side ways 2 weeks before flowering so I am not understanding what you are saying? Do you stop tucking once they start flowering? See below. Basically I have been tucking even the off shoots under at this point and the was wondering at what point do you stop tucking lol?

So they come up about 1 ft before hitting the net, then they stretch about another 1 foot along the net and now 3-7 inches where I stopped tucking. So Ive cut about 50% height off so far from tucking them through the net. I mean I could lower the net and started spreading them out sooner, but my biggest concern is that they seem to grow an extra 2 feet between now and harvest, so I would end up with a 6 inch rise and then 1.5 foot of spread and then 2.5 foot rise above the net. Where as now I will have a 12 inch rise, a 12 inch spread and prolly like 3 feet above the net. So I am just wondering if anyone has the magic formula i guess.

What he’s talking about is same principal as what supercropping does. Putting the branch into the net or me with 1 I supercropped and used wire ties to tie to the net so it’ll hold branches totally horizontally as they grow! If u do all the buds that normally stack to make 1 cola those lil side buds instead stand up individually and get a lot more plump chz not hugging that stem keeping it from swelling as much!

Notice how going down that branch each lil bud instead of stacking into 1 cola they are each standing up into their own individual buds! Same principal with net! Should spread her some and instead of just pulling below net and moving to a further hole u should weave the branches under/over net to hold em parallel as they grow so each buds in the light!

Although controlling the height is an end result to a SCROG it is not the main purpose. The main purpose is to grow many more colas than a plant without training would grow. Each square of the net should have a cola all the same size and length from one of the main stem. I think I could talk until I am blue in the face and you won't get it until you see one.

I am way too lazy to scrog and I can only reach half way to the back of my screen

Carry on :salute:.

I think I tried to take longest way possible attempting my version of an explanation but yes benefit to it is many main colas over a single dominant cola and bunch of smaller ones! All the work it’s taking I don’t think I’ll get near as much as I did just pulling the main top over enough in the earthbox junior that all the lowers caught up and made a big crown of cola towers! Prob going that route next go and retiring the net! Glad I made for $12 not bought! Saw 1 like mine with pvc frame and legs was $100 thru scrogshop website! Assume site saw on their IG page!
