New Grower Newbie question about yields

Aloha,

When reading about various seeds many speak about yield of the finished product, I'm assuming. My questions are they talking about the about the weight of the whole plant, or the buds and are they talking about dried and cured or right after harvest. I suspect the numbers assume ideal conditions, experienced growers etc?

The yield is the dry weight of the finished trimmed bud.

Yes, dried and trimmed. They are done under optimum conditions and by experienced growers but I've seen many here that have exceeded those numbers on numerous occasions.

Thanks guys! Some of the reported numbers seem really high, from the seed banks. I'll be pleased if I can get close!
