New Grower Newbie Grow

So, I’ve been treating the plants with a neem oil/soap/water solution, and it seems to be helping, but the spider mites aren’t gone just yet. It’s weird though, because there’s not any damage to leaves, and I swear I’ve checked the underside of every leaf, and I can’t find and eggs/larvae anywhere. I still see a random few crawling around though, so I know they aren’t gone. Still only on one plant as well, so that’s good, I guess?

How can I deal with this before they go into flower though? Don’t really want to be spraying the plants with anything when they’re fully flowering, but not sure how to get rid of these spider mites!

Here’s update pics:

@archie gemmill Thanks for the reply! I’m pretty sure they’re mites, but I don’t have experience here, so I can’t say for sure. Little white bugs that crawl around, no wings. Spider mites seem like what they are, but do you have any other ideas?

You can see in the pictures that there’s no damage or spotting on the leaves, so it’s a mystery to me. I will check into sn 209, I would rather take preventative measures than let it get bad.

Thanks again!

could be a few things things then.springtails perhaps, there are other almost invisable things that are pretty harmless,a damp/slightly overwater pot, might fin a few in the runoff/tray.let the pot dry out a tad,if its them harmless things there clear off.if its thrips thats the other thing i was trying to think of.
diamtomatoes earth ? sp? a white powder stuff sprinklled on soil can kill other nasties.
but im an eejit pinch od salt and all that,4th opinion needed, get a few snaps for a posative id
good luck n keep er lit

*diatomaceous earth ;) ppp

So, a few days ago, someone I follow on Instagram posted a bug that looks a lot like the ones I have in my tent:

Folks were saying they are most likely Hypoaspis Miles, a good/predatory bug. Since I still have no webs, or eggs on the underside of leaves, I’m inclined to believe this is what they are. They’re said to live in the soil, and when I watered my plants last night, all the bugs came out to the rim of the grow bag! I don’t have a camera good enough to take close-ups of them, but they like like the picture above. While they may be good, I'm still treating with Diatomaceous Earth & SNS 209 to get rid of them. The two older plants have shown their sex and are beginning to flower, and I don't want to have to deal with them when that happens.

Also, the leaves on the NCH have gotten mottled, yellow spots, and it seemed to slow growth quite a bit. A leaf or two on the other plants have started to show the same thing, but not nearly as bad as this.

I suspected a Cal/Mag deficiency, so I flushed all the plants & added some CalMag to each plant. There was new growth overnight! Not sure if I got it right, but I'm watching closely for any more issues.

Have you looked into aphids?
I'm dealing with them right now and they kind of fit what you're saying, of course so do half the possible pests haha.
They are tiny and clear, similar to the picture, and they don't eat leaves so you wont notice the damage, they will cover the undersides of the plants and suck all sap out of it.
:goodluck:
