Hello all,

I’ve planted my very first grow, just waiting for them to pop their heads above ground.

All Mephisto Genetics:

1x - Sour Crack
1x - Northern Cheese Haze
1x - Creme de la Chem

2 back plants are in Smart Pots, & the front is a modified milk jug. All in Happy Frog soil mixed with 20% perlite. All under 1000w Sunraise light. Temperature is averaging between 75-80 degrees F, & humidity is about 50-55% with a cup over each grow to raise humidity at the start.

Couldn’t find Root Riot cubes anywhere, so planted the back two in jiffy pots & right into their final pot. As for the third (in front), I tried the shot-glass soaking method before planting.

It’s been two days so far & nothing’s come up yet. Hoping everything goes well, but as it’s my first grow, I’m super nervous & probably overthinking things. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

@ZeddEnglish Welcome to AFN! Be patient with your babies and try to resist digging around and looking for sprouts. Your beans could take many days to pop and get their heads above ground. Keep the area moist but not soaking wet and the key for germination is warmth. Keep your temps warmer for them and they will grow. Any questions, just ask. There are many here to help you along. I’m subbed for your journey and happy to see you complete this grow. Best of luck!!

@420Forever @Wawashell @Beerhunter CDN @archie gemmill Thanks to everyone for the support & advice! Your vibes must be blessed because my Creme de la Chem popped above ground today! Taking the advice & leaving the other girls alone for another week to see what happens.

Been lurking around these boards for a while and I'm super thankful for this community, 'cause I'd be lost without all this information by all these great growers. Will post an update soon!

No worries Grow Bro, if ya ever got questions just ask, we all here usually to help. CDLC one of my fav Auto smokes, (quick hint, CDLC fan leaves can get to like dinner plate size, start off with leaf tucking to encourage side branches above the leaves faster, if they get to big, pluck them as a last resort till later and the plant a little bigger)

Looking good so far! One of the leaves on the Chem has a small brown spot, but I’m guessing that’s from the shell? Doesn’t seem to have any problems.

I’ve been misting the soil to lightly damp when the soil gets dry, & I mist the inside of the cups to keep the humidity up.

Couple of questions:

1.) My light has both veg and bloom switches. I’m only running the veg light right now (24 hrs) but should I be running both? What do you think about rest periods in lighting (20/4, 18/6)?

2.) When I begin feeding with watering, should every other watering be plain water? I’ve seen a few different methods around the forums, curious to how you all do things.

Thanks again everyone!
