New Grower Newbie Autoflower Grow (autopot)

Hi Everyone ...
Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays

After we opened gifts I decided to start Germinating seeds today. I put the seeds in water to start the germination process.

I am going to grow Super Lemon Haze x2 and Dark Devil Auto x2 Both are feminized seeds
I am going to use the Autopot 4 pot system as I do have to travel for work. I
Media is Coco Coir and Perlite
Nutes. GH Series (micro, bloom and grow), Armor Si, Rapid Start, Calmag, Floralious, and Kool Bloom.

Once tap root is showing I am going to put them into solo cups with 100% coco coir

I am going to start them off with CFL and then switch to Optic 6 Led. I have a 4x4x7.5 grow tent.

I am hoping to get some help as I am a newbie. I have lots of learning to do... So I thought i should start a journal

Sounds like a sweet setup. Is this your first time growing with Autopots? Have you grown before? I heard the Autopots can grow monsters!

Interested in the sweet Dark Devil for one of my own runs one day, so I’ll be following along. Are the super lemon haze Sweet seeds as well?

HI Davisgirl and Merry Xmas to you as well... …I have never used autopots before .. i purchased them because i do travel for work and wanted a system where i didn't have to worry about the plants while i am gone ….. I have read some really good reviews on the dark devil.. The super lemon haze is suppose to be a really nice strain as well … i heard autopots can create monsters but its my first time with them so i am not expecting that .. hoping but not expecting .. LOL ....... I am doing both of these because of the timeline from seed to harvest..... i put the seeds in paper towels this morning so i am hoping to start seeing a tap root soon … i am going to take pictures and start a journal on this site

you should hydrate your coco now. Make sure you use about 50% strength nute water if you have bricks that you have to hydrate. Then put coco in the solo cups now. Pack it down a bit so when you transplant to the autopots the root ball will not break up on you. Make sure the coco is moist but not wet. And put the cups in the tent now to get them at tent temperature.

The key part for the next 10 days is DO NOT over water. Grab one of the cheap $10 moisture meters with skinny probe. That thing works great at telling you if your medium is too wet or too dry. I don't care what anyone says about those meters. They work great to help you understand where the moisture is at and will help you get thru the next 10 days with healthy seedlings. If you are a newbie you should use the meter for sure. If you already mastered watering then maybe you don't need the meter.

You will water from the top for the first couple of days. Like maybe 1oz of 50% strength water a day. Water around the outside of the cup, not directly over the hole where the seed is. Once the plant is nicely above ground, like after 3 days, you switch to watering from the bottom to promote root growth down to the bottom.

Awesome! I’ve definitely noticed better/quicker germination when I keep my seeds warm. Can’t wait to see your babies poking up from the soil!

yep spot on new growers section the best place could also go in the auto pot section,but i fear you may get lost and not get much traffic over there with the big boys if thats not the case we can allways move this thread to the autopts section.
