So my first grow ever my friend decided to give me 2 plants to grow in my autoflowering tent. Unknown strain, unknown ages, big one had been damaged and looks pretty rough. Does this big one look like she’s ready to be switched to flower? Also what do you recommend to cover it with so I don’t throw the smaller one into flower? Can autos thrive in 12/12 lighting? I’ve heard mixed things any input is helpful

Gonna be honest here. IF... the photos were in good shape, and you were just starting the autos I'd say run them. But... those aren't worth what you'll loose on the autos running on 12/12.

Autos will grow on 12/12, and flower out, but not thrive. 16 to 20 hrs of good lighting for that.

You could try and save the photos and veg them for a bit, but I wouldn't unless you know the genetics are going to be worth it.

Unknown genetics but I’m confident they came from some fire. I think I’ll throw big girl outside and let nature take her course and veg the smaller one for a bit. Currently set on 20/4 cycle. Thanks for the tip.

Problem with seeds from a sack, even if that sack was fire, it's either a herm seed, pollinated by the plant next to her that was a herm... or drifting pollen...then you only know half the genetics are fire... kill the herms, they are due mainly to poor breeding practices when we were forced indooor.

Yeah I only grow bag seeds if it was crazy weed and I know the strain. It just doesnt worth it, you work hard and bust your ass for 3-4 months... and you have the privilege nowadays to buy seeds... for 10$.. I'd rather pay a thousand dollars on seeds and not bust my ass for shitty genetics....

You shooting yourself in the foot.often people will quarantine new plants to the growroom, bugs bugs bugs.
Halfing the light on your plants for the benifit of ?
If you only grow bag seed, how do you know your autos are autos ?
Good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

I'm just outside the bay area cali, found a beautiful full seed from an eighth of gellato... it just sits there... bagseed is for outdoor, low to no cost runs. Indoor runs about 130 a month, not chancing poor genetics for 4 months for b roll weed.
