Hello, AFN. I've been wandering around for a couple years, but I think it's time to get my ass back to where serious growers are. Yeah, showing off pics is cool, and easier than taking the time to create a journal, but that shit doesn't improve my skills, or help my knowledge grow.

Anywho, my setup has changed up a bit in the last couple years since I been away, and I now try to stay away from chemical nutrients. I've already started my current grow, but hopefully I can get some of y'all to enjoy the rest of the experience with me. Here's a few details about my setup:

4'×4' Apollo Horticulture tent
Mars Pro II Cree256
1 4'×4'×12" square Smart Pot
1 XL Exhale Bag
1 Hyper Fan 8" 710 CFM Digital Mixed Flow Fan
8"×24" Phresh Filter
Fan muffler
Plants; 3 Lemon Sour Diesel and 3 Afghanica. All from clones

@dankstyle J - Thank you for stopping by and checking out my thread! I used to deal with chemical nutes, and later 'semi organic', but I finally decided it was time to step my game up. For a while, I used Roots Organics, but after some convincing decided to make the switch to no till. So far, I'm loving it! Still a little confused about all the teas, but I'm sure I'll get it figured out. Especially after returning home to AFN

Mate , I'm on board for sure . I am so interested in the no till .

Aaaaaaayy!! Nice of you to stop through, @hecno It's been a long time, but I had to get back to where the real growers are! You're welcome to stop thru anytime, gro bro, and I'll be stopping through to see what your up to, too. Stay high n be eazy, my dude.✌

Hi @ThaGreenBandit I remember when you were here before. I'm still using chemical ferts, but I'm just now working on my 4th grow. Just wanted to say hi and learn! BTW Tell me about the cover crop around your girls! :peace:

@Need4Weed Thank you for stopping by to welcome me back home, and check out my grow! I started out with chemical nutes, too bro, it's all good. We can still learn from each other, and I may be able to help you see the benefits of organics, and how it is actually somewhat easier. It can look intimidating, but one I got past that, and decided to give it a shot, it is actually easier. The cover crop in using is a 12 seed blend that I got from buildasoil.com. They got some great stuff. Check them out. Here is a list of seeds in the cover crop blend:
Flax - Carter
Clover - Yellow Sweet
Clover - White Dutch
Clover - Medium Red
Clover - Crimson
Lentils - Indainhead
Millet - White Proso
Vetch - Hairy
Vetch - Common
Cowpeas - Iron and Clay
Buckwheat - Mancan
Pea - Forage

Hi @ThaGreenBandit
Nice plants, glad they are recovered and become better and better

@MarshydroTina How have you been?! It's been a minute, but I made it back home where my thumb first started turning green! Yeah, those clones were in rough shape when I first got them, especially the Lemon Sour Diesel, but the soil really brought them back to life! It's my first round of no till, so I'm still learning the way of the walk, but it's all good. I know when I'm here, I'm surrounded by knowledgeable growers, growers that don't mind helping others out, and growers that are always looking to learn, so I'm confident that, in the end, I should be fine. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to do so anytime!

Wow! I never heard of vetch, cowpeas or buckwheat. I'm assuming they give nutes back too the soil upon their death and being turned under ... maybe?
I know farmers plant winter rye and then plow it into the soil for nitrogen, that's the basis for my guess. :peace:

@Need4Weed Yup, it provides nitrogen. The cover crop also helps retain moisture in the soil, and in outdoor cases, attracts beneficial insects. I read something that makes real sense; when is the last time, in nature, you saw one plant growing, with absolutely no other type of plant growing around it? Whether it be grass, weeds, flowers, etc... plants never grow alone. There's gotta be a reason for that, so that's another reason I went with a cover crop
