New to Autos

Fast buds genetics in 3g pots will definitely yield more than 20g. I caused a lockout at day 40 on my first grow, also using 3g pots, and still yielded 2oz per plant. I was excited for what happens when I don’t f up. Multiple breeders on that run including fastbuds blackberry…. Incredible purple nug.

Wow those are great numbers... and nice looking plant!

If I could get them at least to 28 g per plant...

I did try to amend with Biobizz Bloom and Topmax @ week 6 at 1/2 strength and they were not happy and showed signs of burn so I went back to RO water with cal mag only.

I would like to stay as organic as possible...so water only or with organic amendments.

Bioall with Biobizz Bloom has been successful with photoperiods but I am open to trying something new with the autos.

If you'd like to go fully organic you will need to do quite a bit of reading and build your soil to be a full living entity. It's beyond what I know how to do at this point but I do know you will need large pots to hold enough "stuff" for nutrients to be available. The build-a-soil website is quite helpful and there are some really knowledgeable guys on here.

I've spoken with @Tom Bombadil a couple times and he has a pretty straight forward process. It will take some work and getting the right things at the right time. You could probably fit two large pots with a full organic soil and get some really nice plants in that space. Way beyond 20g/plant.

I think @Waira also has some really good soil, and I know he has just killer beautiful plants, and I can't think of the company/pack he uses. It escapes me at the moment.

You could also amend the soil you currently have with the right additions from build a soil and be well on your way.

Read up and good luck! That's about all I can add to the organic discussion.

Sometimes you can just get a runt too. you are dealing with nature. there the best biggest plant and animals if your a farmer then there's the runts of the litter it whatever it's called

It's not that difficult just difficult to get the best yields it's like is we need probiotics soil needs some probiotics. Then you can feed liquid nutrients made from plants and fish so you don't need the biggest pots. That's just if you want to use only water which I wouldn't do because I want max resin and flavor

You should look into fermenting aloe vera, grass clippings not sprayed of course, Canna leaves anything green and not poison 1part brown sugar 1part plant cut and mix together fill mason jar to top. Leave to ferment for a week separate the plant meter from the bottom layer of extracted sugar that's your veg fertilizer. Banana for flower. Also top 3-4 times will take longer to flower but you will get more bud sites. So one top becomes two then two becomes four then four become eight. Atleast 3 times do you get 4 tops.

Unless you want to do more plants in smaller containers where they flower faster because they have no room you can do sea of green with autos. When you piss off autos they flower faster. So if they realized they can't grow anymore roots they will flower. Stress no water etc

My advice would be to start off with a simple living soil. You should be pulling more than 20g per plant in three gallons. I am pulling a smidge above that in two gallons (test runs) and I water only and reamend the soil between grows. You could alway up your container size, but my guess is your soil does not have food to get your girls to the finish line.

My normal grows are in 10 gallons and I am pulling 4oz almost every grow (genetics permitting)

If your soil is good there is no need for anything but water. This is personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt "if your going organic but your going to mix nutes, have a feed schedule, PH, and all that other crazy jazz just use mega crop and coco and grow 6oz trees"

With that being said there are a million ways to do it, it is best to start off simple. If you go to the link in my sig AJ random thoughts page three there is a bunch of discussion on how to make a simple living soil that works. My advice would be run that once or twice and get it down. Then add one new thing at a time to figure out what works in your set up with your environment. If it does not have any affect on your grow scrap it and try something else. If it does work keep it and add something you want the next. After some time you build on it and it will be more effective and you will know why.

Please do not just through a bunch of random things at it without knowing what they do and why. That will not make you a better grower.

:pighug: cheers Six', appreciate the kind words!

@Ray6un are you in UK/EU? If so, the products I use aren't available over there,...KIS Organics is USA only I think...
A fine cat and grower named Ribbzzy here has used Plagron's Supermix soil amendment to make near water-only soil to very good effect- :greenthumb:... An organic run gig isn't much trouble if you have the right products on hand to tinker and adjust inputs as needed. I still include occasional Si, kelp, micronutes, a carb/amino source, humic-fulvic, and inoculants which help to keep the soil herd diverse and populated. This is so critical in organic, and it's everything in true TLO type soils.... That's a more involved and complicated gig, gotta have your tea game on it's toes, equipment and supplies...
I also keep some PK boosting stuff for extra love during bloom, and to supp' what gets depleted during veg'... You're typically looking for guano's, or a complete feed with little to no N in it,... Some stuff like rock phos', bone meals are not very fast releasing, too slow for auto's sometimes during that short critical window during bloom when such supp's are applied to best advantage; Guano's tend to be a bit faster, but mid their low K values! You may need a little bit of something that's very K heavy, and may not be technically "organic"... That is no biggie, trust me, a little mineral type nutes isn't going to queer a thing in the results or quality dept.- :smoking: ... K and SO4 are more critical at the end stages of bloom, P should be well reduced that last10 days or so... the former are key components in terpene production....
