This will be my first time running autos and i have limited experience but managed to still pull off some bagseed photos.
My main goal is to just provide my own medicine and i did alot of research for the last year on genetics, equipment and basics.
So here is what i ended up with
Tent: Mars hydro 2x4x6
Light: Mars hydro TSL2000
Medium Canna Coco/Perlite/EWC
Nutes: Dry Amendments
Ventilation: AC infinity T6
I decided to go with the coco and dry amendments method and have seen some mixed feeling about this method. But being my first run i though i would give it a shot for science. As a backup i also grabbed some Gaia Green Living Soil and will also do some other autos using living soil and dry amendments.
Genetics: I wanted to grab some mephisto for my first run but missed the drop but managed to pull some night owl beans.
To start with i popped 3 seeds
1 x Cheech Biggums
2 x Owl Pellets
Day 3 from seed
I planted the seeds directly into the medium and used a humidity dome to raise the humidity, the light is about 30" above with no dimming.
I didnt have an exhaust fan so i was using a small 6" fan to exhaust the hot air and moved the drivers outside the tent. I was usually around 27-30c and 50% humidity on avg.
I was worried about temps and the seedling stretching but they actually did well despite some hot days and temp swings, i water them with a turkey baster in a 2" radius and increase the size as they get bigger.
Day 9
Cheech biggums seems to be a bit slower growth compared to the owl pellets and i had to prop her up with a garden tie because of her top heavy leaves.
Threw on a fan to get a small breeze going to try and strengthen them.
Day 12
Starting to take off with some smaller branch development, so far all i have done is give them water PH to 6.4-6.6
I have added a 6" fan to exhaust the tent with an active intake fan with an AC unit to control temps in the room the tent is in.
I have been able to keep temps between 24-27c and humidity 48-55%
Day 17
Started to LST and leaf tuck to allow the lower branching to get more light and keep the size down.
The node spacing is insanely tight and compact on the owl pellets the cheech is a bit more even spacing but still short.
The cheech and one of the owl pellets are now showing pre flower pistils and wow do these reek in veg im impressed.
With autos how do i know when they start to actually flower, because these are owl pellets im a bit unsure what to expect.
