New Grower New member that's interested in growing an auto flowering plant indoors ?

I'm new at growing. I don't know one bit about growing mmj. I want to grow one plant with auto flowering bud indoors I either will try to get help in building a pc grow box or I will modify a portable closet. I know nothing about lighting. Put it like this I'm new. I have the funds to buy the necessary stuff but this is gonna be my first grow. One question is where can I purchase seeds ? I live in the USA California. I could use all the info and links. Thank you

I have ordered through Attitude seeds for about 5 or 6 years now. If your going to be PC or closet I would look in to a good LED grow light if you can afford it. Something like the solar storm or a black dog. I grow under a HPS and have grown under CFLs and T5 lights but would grow LED if I could afford it. If your doing 1 plant a 240W should do ya good and allow for some good size yields from 1 plant or 4 small plants. If you do go with a small HPS or MH get one that's in a cool tube and vent it. If you run CFL or T5 have a little bit of air from a small fan blowing on the light to cool it and another fan to vent the space. If your growing in a PC grow than the normal PC fans should be fine but a closet I would have a vent fan and a fan to cool the light. I try to use my cooling fan to also blow a light breeze on the plants to help make the plant stronger so it can hold more weight in flowering. Get a calendar and use it to document every thing you do so when you make mistakes you can look back and see what ya did. Your also going to want a PH meter minimum if your growing in soil and add a PPM meter if your growing in hydro but would also be a good idea to have one for mixing nutes if growing in soil too. A thermometer would be a good idea. Have fun growing and welcome to AFN.

Check out some grow journals ... most journals tell what pot and soil and light are used ... check out what was used v. results ... and find a grower w/ similar space and equipment you can afford and copy them as closely as possible

yup, sound advice, Thermometers are a must, one with temperature (C or F) and RH. Even better are the ones with the external probes, you can put the display outside the area with the probes inside. So no constant opening of the area to see temps.
A single probe moisture reader is also a very handy thing to have, no need to lift plants to check if they need watering, just slide this probe in from the top (if you use normal pots) or from the sides (if you have airpots) and read the display
ive been using mine for years now, never had a under/over watering problem since.
LEDs are perfect for small areas, so bang on with that advice too.
Ordering seeds for you bro wont be a problem, Humboldt are in Northern California and have really good solid strains that yield very nicely,. plus they also have association with the music side, ie, Dedoverde Haze Auto is Cyprus hills favourite strain, Chronic - Dr Dre. etc.. etc.. so, yeah, top pedigree strainers bro.
And best advice is, come on here, lots of help lots of info and lots of journals to study over.

Thanks fellas I'm going to search different threads. Earlier I seen a thread where a guy had his journal posted for download. I think it took a lot of memory to post on this site. I know I can find it. But if any of you fellas would mind posting a link it would be cool. Last question..... What type of water should be used to grow the plant ?

I use RO water on my plants ... well/spring water can be excellent also ... feel free to check out the grows in my signature ... my NLBB & Bubblelicious grow is my latest ... no need to download to review ... good luck w/ your grows ...
