hello everyone. I'm new to the site and also a new first time grower as well. i also new to forums as well but have found them to be highly informative. i have started my first grow using fox farms happy frog soil in a small cottage cheese container with drainage holes cut out along the bottom. I am using two 65 watt LED plant light bulbs and a 12" fluorescent T8 in a small hollowed out dresser alongside an oscillating tower fan. at some point i will be moving the plant outdoors and have been acclimating the young plant daily over the last few days ever so slightly. The seed i germinated was RED DRAGON from BARNEY'S FARMS and is a photoperiod. i germinated by soaking the seed overnight and then used the papertowel method for another night and had a tap root the next morning 5/8/2019 and was then put into the happy frog soil. I have watered sparingly using a syringe to ensure i do not overwater and as of today my seedling/plant is looking very good and am preparing to move her into a 3 gallon pot when the leaves diameter are close to exceeding the width of the current container. i currently have the fox farms trio for nutrients and do not plan on giving any at all until the plant is 3-4 weeks old and in the larger pot. Does anybody have any advise on if i made a mistake somewhere, or perhaps any tips on amending my medium further for outdoor life? thank you all for your knowledge and advise.
