What ppm meter did you get? And a question because I didn't know how important ppm could be until recently. Let's say your water is too high or too low at 338. How do you eben go about changing that to where its supposed to be?

There is no too low for ppms. RO water is zero or near zero ppms. Too high depends on what is in the water. 338 ppms of what?

My well water is high. Above 300 I think. Hard water. But it's mostly calcium. For me, it doesn't make sense to pay to RO my water, take out the calcium and then pay to put the calcium back in with calmag. For others it makes sense in Hydro or to take out additives like chlorine.

It just depends on what is in the water and what your grow environment is. At least, that's my take on ppms.

I’m not sure boog outside of getting an RO system. I’m going to dechlorinate the water and use a fish tank air stone and see if helps. I think you pay attention too the water with nutes so it doesn’t reach 1500 ppm to prevent burning.

Anyone using GH trio? I was going to purchase some advanced nutes that Tyler uses but I was also thinking I might be better off staying the GH line. Has anyone ever used diamond nectar or Kool Bloom etc... on top of the trio? Is it ok to mix advanced nutrients with GH products?

I’m running the whole line-up man, no complaints.

Do you recommend anything other than bloom during flower?

That makes sense I have no clue what’s in my water but it’s hard for sure.

To declorinate just fill water jugs with water and let them sit with cap off 24 hours for the chlorine to evaporate.

I have very heavily chlorinated city water smells like a pool and I use it straight out of the tap after letting sit 24 hours never checked ppm but I do ph, I am sure there is all kinds of crap in it but works for me.

Make sure with your cities water test results that you have just the regular type of chlorine though cause there is a new type that doesn't evaporate can't remember the name can look water tests up online.

The calcium your well water has is not the calcium your plant can use. When growing using any form of hydroponics the lower the ppm the better. I used my well water for years and it was at around 250 ppm and every now and then I'd get nutrient lockout and all sorts of deficiency. When your waters that high of ppm before adding nutrients your plant can't gain the access to what it needs. It's like getting on a bus but all the seats are already taken. And though your water has calcium, iron, and magnesium it's not in a form the plants can use wich leads to buildup issues down the road. The best addition I ever made to my grow was buying a RO system. It's paid itself off in a couple months. Plants are way healthier and I'm getting better yields and my ph is always perfect. Anyone growing hydroponics without one is missing out on alot more yield and ease of growing. Mine cost 100$ but there's cheaper ones for around 50$ that work great for smaller grows.

Makes sense for hydro.

It just doesn't make sense for my grow in soil. :bighug:

@Time Chlorine is really bad bro even for soil it can kill your plants and cause a lot of issues being your on well water you know its just reg chlorine I would just let it sit for 24 hrs worth looking into I can't remember the specifics of what all it does but its bad.

I have no chlorine or any other additives in my water. Just whats in it when it comes out of ground.
