New Grower New Grow, not first but first Autoflower grow, sweet seeds Fast bud

hello i'm new to af net, and i'm goin to start a grow journal on some seeds I just got from attitude, sweet seeds Fast bud. just wanted to start the thread and introduce myself. i'll get my set up pics and stuff on here as I get it set up in the room.

I would love any and all info I might need about starting autos like what size pots i should use, if they should be transplanted or can they start and finish in the same pots, the less stress the better right? I mean some flower in 3-4 weeks so I would think that minimal stress is best.

Chime in plz, someone with auto knowledge please help.

Welcome, kernal! I second boomer's suggestion to check out FD's excellent guide. Also, if you can tell us some more about your grow you'll probably get better advice. Like what kind of lights/soil/nutes you plan to use, do you have any size restrictions in your area, fem or regular seeds, etc. Lots of people germ autos directly in the final growing medium, others transplant, and some use a hybrid like the tiered planting method in FD's thread.

Fancy that, I'm about to start growing the same strain. You're gonna want to use the largest size pots you can for your grow space, bigger is better in this aspect. Some people choose to germ and then plant in a smaller pot, and then transplant again to the final pot. That seems like a wasted effort - they do better if you germ them and then put them right in their final home. You're right, less stress is better.

Ok so the seeds are in the dirt germinated last night in paper towel and the root tip was just barely showing so they went in to the 6" pots. The video shows just empty pots with the seeds lurking below waiting to spring forward, on the right side there is a couple bag seed plants that we weren't sure what they are but thought they might be autoflowers based on how fast they grew the are about 1 month 2 wks old give or take a week. the smaller one in the middle is a Sensi Star bag seed that came out of a grow room where something hermied and i got this wonderful seed, the strains flowering in the room at the time with the SS were G-13, Smash Berry (blueberryxpurple kush), Sour Slut (Sour DieselxKiller Queen) and Free leonard (G-13xButterscotch Hawaiian) so any of those would be a good genetic to cross with the SS

I read through FD's autoflower grow guide and got a lot of good info.

For my soil I am using a Scotts blend which is Manure and Humus which I mixed 6 to 4 with pearlite
Lights for the moment are 2 100w eq. cfls that are 5000k 2 48" Philips 40w 6500k, and just a cheap full spectrum 24" i think its only 18w or something like that.
Nutes are cheap walmart style, for I am poor for now and Alaska Fish emulsion 5-1-1 for veg for the first couple weeks on the Fast Buds and then to the Alaska Mor-Bloom which is 0-10-10 proly somewhere in week 2.5-3.5, I don't know that sounds good enought to me.

Any tips and pointers is much appreciated.

Oh yeah, this closet you are seeing in this video, is only a temporary home, I will be moving them into their very own room once it is cleaned and emptied and at least a coat of paint on it.
I plan on going to 2700k lights around week 3, I found some 300w 3000k CFLs and I was wondering if they would work well enough or does that 300k really make a difference?
