I went with flat, and now wish I had done mylar. I will go with mylar when I get my new cab. Glad to see you'll be back in the grow soon, Neko.

but when you do it, do it in sections. DONT try and go around it in one cause it will go all baggy in some corners and really tight in the others trust me i no i did it so learn from my mistake !! Another top tip from Jack The Spliffer lol. start with the back piece, then do the sides but make the sides are 2 or 3 inches longer on the back sides (so they overlap on to the back piece) then u can glue gun the flaps to the back to seal it up.

Im moving in this coming Wednesday and getting the grow started asap. So, probably that day or the next. So in a week. =D..I’m super excited to be joining you guys again in our beloved hobby. . Ill finally have the time to get more involved =). Ill be adding some strains throughout this grow too.

Probably the last 2 candy kush seeds I have, and a surprise strain =).



Going to be adding Silicone to the edges of my grow box to help make it air tight tomorrow. Then going to buy some emergency Mylar fire blankets to do the reflection job until I buy some good grow room mylar. I was going to paint the insides flat white but, I think mylar would be better? let me know what yall thing about that. Mylar sheets are not to expensive on the net.

Definitely go with the Mylar. The blankets are a good cheap source. One plus that I have noticed is that the branches on the mylar side stretch out to the reflective light better than those relying on the direct light but are shadowed. I turn my plants regularly to take advantage of that.

Went to walmart a couple days ago, and they were out of the mylar blankets
Guess Ill just have to order a long roll of mylar online. No big. 20 USD for a roll big enough to mylar my box is ok with me.

Moving in 4 days, so Ill probably start germinating in 3-4. Going to do all the electrical stuff once I got everything moved in. Im aiming to have seeds in the ground the same day I move or the next day. Need to buy some BAM seeds to hop in on the new years fun too haha. I still plan on doing that btw.

Whats up my AFN family. Ive definitely missed all of you. I have not been super active with you guys, since Ive been pretty busy with the move. Im movin into my new place in 9 Days. I got most of the dirty work done on my new grow box. So, I figured I might as well start my new journal now. Im still a newbie grower. Only a few grows under my belt. Last grow was Candy Kush, and Afghan Kush ryder. Which was AMAZING stuff,....HIGHly recommended.

Going with my Krippleberry for this start of the grow. Will be implementing the rest of the Candy Kush in at some point. That Candy Kush Auto but Auto seeds was some FIRE.

I was going to do an organic recipe recommended by EyesonFire but, I didnt have enough time to let it cook. So, here are my specs/plans for this grow


Bale of Dr.Earths Organic Pot of Gold soil. mixed with a small bag of Black and Gold organic soil
1 small bag of Black and Gold perlite
3.75 gallon pots
Dr Earths Bud and bloom Organic fert
Fish fert
Liquid kelp fert
Aerated water
Probably going to drop 1 TBS of Dolomite lime(depending on the soils natural PH)
Dr,earths Seedling fert
CFL's(for starters)
LED's added during grow.
6 inch ventech exhaust fan(custom muffled system) (250 CFM)
4 Feet tall/ 4 feet wide/ 2 feet depth grow box.

Im going to be starting the plants off with CFL's only, while I order LED's (ufo's) while Im growing.

This set-up made it go from sounding like a jet engine, to sounding like your average room air filter. Im going to cover that throw blanket in the 5 gallon bucket with some fire resistant material. Just to be safe. I threw stealth out of the window, since my new place accepts medical marijuana. Im finihsing up the box, and Ill update with some pictures. Plants wont hit the soild for at least 9 days. Just starting this journal ahead of time, so I dont have a bunch to do all at ounce. Ill be throwing in 1-2 other strains once I add the LED's in a couple weeks or so.

Man, that's even better than the blankets. No fold creases.
I've read that creases and wrinkles have been known to create "Hot Spots". I have enough of both to quality but I have not seen any signs. With my weak lights I'd be trying to figure out how to aim them.

Hi Neko, did you put your exhaust vent in a tote to silence it? It looks like you built a kind of baffle. That's a great idea. What size bucket & tote did you use?
