Neko's Laboratory of organic KAOS

Hey, thanks Johnny. DUDE! I think your right man.

Pez 3 is doing its flower stretch like a mad woman. Pez 2 is kinda doing it also...But it sexed a few or several days after 3 sexed. So, its probably going to start stretching like 2 soon. They look like they same pheno..or regular type. I get mixed up with the phenotype stuff.

Pheno's are deviations of the original growth style of the plant from my understanding.
So, if its growing like its normal type(non pheno)...Would that be the genotype? or do I have my s*** all f***** up? lol :dunno:

I opened it today, and said whoaaaa!!! She is going on her mad dash for the stars lol.

Makes me wanna see what she can do in a 3 gallon. I dont have room for a 5gal -_-.

Also, thanks Johnny for letting me know Pez is a hungry beast lol. Got deficiencies early on with the first pez because, I was going light on the feed.

2 and 3 Ive been going more tough on the feed. They seem to LOVE it lol.

Would love to see how a Bender Auto x Pez Auto Hybrid would turn out. =D

I think bender x PEZ ("sugar binge"?) is a fantastic idea? Blue Bener and super purple PEZ!!

they're looking fantastic man I know in keep repeating it, haha. Glad the feeding advice helped. One or two of these could end up living twice as long as some autos advertise but the yeild will make up for it... That, and as most people aim for when breeding, PEZ tends to be my favorite smoke. I really want to get the numbers ran in a couple months in spain, I don't really trusts the labs out here in marijuanamoney making land.

i can help you out with the pheno/genotype thing. It was really confusing to me at first since my ocd makes reading things insanely time consuming.

genotype refers to the genetic makeup of a plant. Phenotype refers to any physical observations you can make about it. For example, an auto ak would presumably ruderalis x afghan kush. Now, let's say out of a ten pack you see three different distinct plants growing - one is purple and short, the other is green and short, and the other green and tall. The tall and green plant is one phenotype, the short and green is another, and the short purple one is also a separate phenotype. If the strain was bred as a purple ak, the purple phenotype is the one that was bred for, but all are referred to phenotypes - it isn't referring to difference from the norm, just differences from each other.

so, in summary :
genotype is the genetic background, lineage
phenotype is one, or the only, physical representation of the genetics.

ok, ready for this?
CHEMOTYPE is the chemical ratios expressed within a phenotype !!!
this is important for CBD breeders especially. Out of those purple ak plant's mentioned, 4/5 might have 20% THC and 1% CBD but another identical phenotype based on human observation while growing could have 20% CBD and 4% THC in it's chemotype expression.

genotype - ruderalis x afghan kush f5
phenotype - how the plant looks (pink or white snapdragons same species)
chemotype - chemical terpene expression.

this is way off topic so feel free to move it wherever, mods... Anyone want to chime in on chemotype? Is it the genetic potential like when someone shows you lab tests with seeds, or is it what is produced in the end?

wheee!

lol wow that was long. See? Ocd.

sorry bro short answer is genotype is like where they list "skunk x kush" and if each distinguishable variety within the same genetic pool or seed pack is a separate phenotype.

wanna get crazy, read some threads speculating on evolution of canna and that like DJ short strains, all are just different phenotype expressions of a single original genotype that evolved to fit climates grown lol

DUDE!!!!!!. Just straight blew my mind right now..specially since Im especially medicated at this moment. That was an awesome read, and much more then I expected from an answere to my question. Definitely is super rep slapage worthy. :slap:

lol glad to help bro!

Little updatage.

Girls are taking the nutes like a boss. Pez 2 and 3 got fed today with some all purpose and mistakenly I mixed in a tsp of fish on top of that. No nute burn.

Pez 1 got some almost nute burn. I was hitting it a little heavy since it had that mad deficeincy a while back. So, I wanted to make sure I got on top of that.
