NEEM oil DANGER !! Cannabis growers be aware!

Again, you are just posting unsupported links from stoner sites that are pure speculation.

I never said I had CHS, I said I experienced the symptoms listed describing it. It's important to read what people wrote correctly.

You're still just spreading fear based internet rumors, and that's really sad. You don't seem to understand how to actually scrutinize and verify information, so this isn't going to go anywhere.

Best of luck,

Some General ramblings of a very old stoner
(who is currently stoned)

Lethal Concentration for neem oil inhaled is 6.2mg/l
(LC50 - Median lethal dose)

Now if that is the LC50 level, what kinds of affects and ailments occur prior to death at lower levels ?

I have no clue, but I have been smoking since 1963 and have known a lot of stoners in my life... and I have never seen or more importantly heard of anyone experiencing Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome.

I did get to live through the president of the United States (Carter) attempting to poison off all the stoners with Paraquat... but that's another story.

Cannabis is known as one of the most efficient accumulator plants in existence, it is used by governments and corporations world wide to suck up heavy metals, radioactive waste, and toxic waste. It is used to clean up soil at Superfund sites as well as nuclear accident sites.

It is basically nature's vacuum. Which is why before I would buy any growing medium I always checked into any and all testing that was done for heavy metals, contaminants, etc. And it is why I no longer use commercial products on my grows, Neem oil included.

Every little bit helps... :toke:

Know this, any info put out there is subject to change in your lifetime whether it be from stoners, or the government, or from peer reviewed papers and research. I don't trust much of any of it, and you may learn not to as well.

I have seen far too much incorrect info published and put out as fact that is no longer an accepted fact.

Asbestos is completely safe for any application, butter is even healthier in larger amounts as it lubricates your arteries, It is impossible for GMO's to ever escape into nature, Mercury is safe as a children's toy, Cigarettes improve lung function, Lead is safe when eaten, oh... and Teflon is safe to eat as well....

Those are just a few of the things that were put out there that have changed I'm my lifetime. There are many many more... plus throw in revisionist history and... well.... if you are paying attention now you won't trust much out there either when you get to be my age.

:hookah:
Speaking of asbestos... You know that nasty black powder you get on wheels? Thats asbestos right there being spread in the air you breathe. How many little kids have you seen running around cars touching wheels...

My first job was a mechanic and they had us use compressed air to blow all the dust out before doing a brake job. It was all drum brakes back then, which captured most of the dust... when each hub was blown out it filled the shop with a cloud... multiply that by 3 or 4 brake jobs a day in each bay, and by 4 bays.... every day...

I was factory trained by Raybestos, the company that manufactured the brake components and they said that was the preferred method to clean them... back when brakes were made with 100% asbestos... now they are mostly metallic or ceramic composite...

I could have used the famous line that I felt fine and it didn't hurt me back then...

Can't say that now though...

Ironic really. I am accused to be posting links from stoner sites that are unsubstantiated. Yet, here I am in a "stoner" forum web site and reading unsubstantiated posts here as well.
I've never seen any lab testing of marijuana buds after someone used neem oil on the plant, so, yes, I do not know the concentration. If it's in the bud, do 'I" want to smoke it? Hell no! I would not like to smoke a bud that has been grown in a waste dump, nuclear radiation site, or other chemicals if I can help it. The marijuana plant is excellent at cleaning up soils, moving all sorts of nasty crap into it's stems and eventually into the trichomes. Clean is nice. There are other things that work as well as neem oil out there I am sure. But I do find it funny that now all of a sudden, they are having CHS cases showing up in "legal" states that symptoms seem to match, exactly, neem oil toxicity. I find that remarkable.

I'd consider the source of the cannabis in this context. We all know that some illegal growers will use anything on their weed to get the crop in. I'm willing to bet many of these cases are pesticide poisonings and you know they aren't using organics! Hell, they found weed here locally laced with Fentynal!

Without lab tests the only safe weed is what you grow yourself!

Where neem MIGHT be a problem is in indoor grows. Neem sprayed on a plant deteriorates quickly in sunlight. And very little penetrates the leaves, the molecules are too large to enter the stomata easily. Using it in the soil is another can of worms however.
As to canna collecting heavy metals etc, for whatever reason, those are collected and stored in the roots, very little is transported within the plant. the nutrient/fluids transport system of most plants is not designed to to move or process things it does not needs.

But again, I've not seen any scientific data regarding this supposed problem. suppostion without supporting data is merely rumor.
