Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out for some advice with my current indoor grow setup. A fellow grower in Gold Coast gifted me two White Widow seeds, and I was really excited to get them started. I planted them directly in soil on October 7th, but they seem to be stuck, and I can’t figure out why.

Here’s a bit about my setup:

• Grow Tent Size: 80x80x160 cm
• Lighting: VIPARSPECTRA light running at 200W, currently set to 40% intensity, positioned about 60 cm above the plants.
• Ventilation: I recently added two small fans to help with airflow.
• Nutrients and Environment: I’m maintaining a balanced environment in terms of temperature and humidity, and I’m keeping a close eye on soil moisture to avoid overwatering.

Despite all this, the seeds don’t seem to be making progress. Does anyone have an idea of what might be going wrong or any tips on how to get them moving along? I want to make sure everything is in the best condition before my next batch of seeds arrives, and I don’t want to waste any efforts.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

October 7th was 4 days ago... These look totally fine and sometimes it takes 5 days or so just to get them to sprout. Relax, plants look fine. Don't stress them out :pass:

Not sure of location but it being Oct. might want to get a seedling heat mat to keep those roots warm.

How are these lads doing?

What kind of medium are you using it looks quite dense, seedlings thrive in medium that has lots of aeration. When people worry about over watering it actually starving the roots of air that is the culprit when issues arise.

Water and air cannot occupy the same space at the same time so you are ultimately trying balance this ratio of water for the plant to drink and air to breathe, when seedlings are small they only have a tiny root and if the soil is too dense or wet it can suffocate quickly.

Let them dry out until the pots are light and just spray the top for a few days, as other have said it’s normal for growth to be slow in this stage, too much of anything can have adverse effects , even too much light.

Good luck I’m sure plenty will assist you along the way if you ask for help .
