Hello all,

I am in need of some help or info on this plants flowering. It doesn't seem to be budding like previous flowers I have seen. This seems to look like pods and not buds. It has to definitely be female, but what is going on with its flower shapes. I got great trichomes and the ends are turning orange as it finishes it's flower cycle. but the flowers seem really off to me. Let me know what you think please.

Are those plants photoperiods or autoflowers? Those single bladed leafs are one of the tell tale signs of a revegging plant.

What is the strain? That sort of bud structure (whispy calyxes that stack ontop of each other) is a characteristic common to many lower yeilding sativa varieties.

The leaves look pretty beat up. There is a good chance that in addition to my two previous points, that it is also a sensitive plant that does not handle stress well.

It does look like she is basically finished. It should smoke fine despite the unfortunate yields

To me looks like either HELLA foxtails or more likely something like this Dr. Grinspoon strain

Dr. Grinspoon is kind of ugly. That web page says it is a photoperiod and difficult to grow.

It looks to have a genetic mutation. It may have had nutrient intake/use or fertilization problems. Which can be genetic problems or farmer problems? Is it seeded? Stressed plants can stick their yellow tongue at you. and end up preggy or it is just a fat calyx. It could also be a response to the environment being too hot or cold? In any case the only thing to do is grow to harvest. It won't be that long from now.

:goodluck:

I have a plant outdoors I neglected to harvest when I should have. I just let it go and it started foxtailing, then like you mention it started getting yellow things coming out of the foxtail buds and now appears to have seeds. I really should cut my plant and and remove it from my patch outdoors. In my case I have had some daytime temperatures in the high 80's low 90's followed by some nighttime cold fronts where temperatures dropped into low 30's. Problems with growing above the 45th parallel.

IDK...aside from any crazy strain variation I'd lean towards hermaphrodite just looking at the nodules...

It was supposed to be an AK-47 auto, "AK-47 is an F1 hybrid from Dutch seed bank Serious Seeds. Created in 1992, its exact lineage remains secret, but seed bank owner and breeder Simon says it’s roughly a 65:35 Sativa/Indica hybrid of Colombian, Mexican, Thai, and Afghani descent."

Clearly not......

It is at 50 days since the start, and was hit with higher temps and humidity for about 2 weeks total due to the weather. She looked great though out the grow and was like this since she started budding, no visible bananas. The leaves are beat up because she is near her end and I gave her one last feed and waited five days to give her a good watering just until it ran out of the bottom and haven't watered her since. Up to this point she looked great with no discoloring or nutburn or any issues while growing. She grew and flowered very fast. I figured with a lot of amber pistils and a lot of white yet, I would give her more time to finish, but I thought the buds would fill out, instead, they remain looking like foxtails. She is very, very heavy in odor ( Mainly Skunky and Pine with something citrusy ) and super sticky all over even around the stalk. It almost looks like it is trying to seed up, but I haven't seen any sign of any bananas. She has trichomes on everything.

She was grown in a small enclosure with a LED Purple light, kept at 2ft away from top through grow and 3 LED 5000k and 6500k and one 3500K and a fan on low keeping the air moving. Temp and RH was avg of 81 and 67%. Top Hi/Low was; Hi temp was 92 and 86%RH/ low was 69 and 55% according to my Temp/RH gauge. Was only fed three times with nuts, of small amounts. Soil was 2 yr old Fox Ocean mix that I blended with some mushroom compost and left sit until this year. No bug issues, no grow issues other than growing really fast, just the bud shape issue. Only real modification was using wire ties to shape her as she grew, but no issues from that either, and she was very pliable and easy to train.

Edit: only reason I am not taking her yet is the trichomes are mostly clear yet on most, some are semi cloudy and others are milky white. I figured she had awhile to go. Also I had a thought, She is only in a 3 Gal, first time going that small, I have done 5,7 and 10Gal sizes before. Maybe too small grow bag?

Pulled open one of the fox buds, no seed inside. Very low feed to this as I kinda just let it grow and checked in on it every so often to water. Temps were all over for awhile up and down, but again showed no signs of stress, very first flowers showed it like it is. I kinda think it looks cool like this, but yeah... bad yeild I am sure, but those foxtails are really thick material.

Same for weather as we are around the 42 North and had crazy up and down weather and temps this year.
