I was just now and saw my babies, when i came to mind of asking my fellow auto-brothers about my CFL vegroom.
I have some pictures to show you guys, and was hoping that some one have some good points for me to think about, or on what i can improve.
I am and have always been on kind of a "mission" to improve myself in different aspects in life. It may sound kind of lame, but i don´t know how i should put it in other words.
I don´t want you to get me wrong now. On the whole idea of this thread. I´m not trying to show off or anything like that, becouse i don´t really have any vegroom to show off. I really love it, as i think all you guys can relate to. But it is really basic.
A little info on the chamber:
Lights: I grow with 18 h on, and 6h off. And i have CFL´s with 390 watts total. 250w with blue spec, and 140w with a red spec (2700K).
The big blue 250w reflector is the centerpiece. And on both sides, on the left and on the right + 30w where the PC-fans are.
The 2700K´s are homebuilt lightfixtures (40w on the left, and 86w on the right). Even i think this is confusing, but you can probably see what i mean in the pictures.
Ventilation: I have two computerfans, that´s taped together and hung up in chains. It blows air just to the right side, where i have my younger ones. (I know that i shouldn´t use a red spec over a young plant, but i hope that they are getting enough blue rays from the big lamp). Outside of the growarea i have a regular fan that is on a timer. It runs the first 15 minutes of every hour. And in the evening it runs 15 min, and is off 15 min.
Then i have a 18 inch fan that´s high up, and maybe 10-12 feet away. That runs in the last couple of hours before the light go off.
Here is a picture that´s new. This is how it looks right now.
And here you can see how the chains are hooked in.
Btw. Do anybody have a tip on how to build a cloning/seedling chamber? Or have built one yourself?
When you grow autos you don´t really need a seedlig-chamber, and definently not a clonechamber. But i am planning on trying to grow regular mj after these ones are all grown.
I used to grow tomatos, peppers and stuff before, and i was really into cloning. And then i was just using the free space beside the mother.
I am planning on buying a tent in a near future. And when i get the tent i was planning on throwing this "vegroom" out. But maybe it can be used for seedlings, and clones?
I´ll just shortern it so it is just maybe 2-3 feet from the bottom, and up to the "ceiling".
I got a little bit off topic, but that´s allright.
