So I have ordered a set of ruderalis indica beans and I have a s1 photoperiod mother I've been doing clones off for the past 6 months after acquiring some very special seeds from my sister in California. So what I'm asking here are for pointers on crossing these two species into one. My plans are to start the male ruderalis 2 weeks after my female clone starts flowering. In my head bam, presto, followed by woot! Is what I'm hoping/planning for as this is my first ever cross between two species like this, I've done plenty of photo on photo love, just need some pointers with the rudy. Thanks AFN for all that you do.

not sure if im reading this right or if you maybe didnt write it right

your going to wait to start your rudy seeds untill your photos are 2 weeks into flowering ?

if you get seed it wont have the time it needs for them to mature , unless your photo plants are a long flowering sativa

some ppl take their seeds at 4 weeks , but i like to be sure mine are mature , i wait a good 6 weeks , there are more reasons for wanting seeds fully mature then just looks and germination rates , an imature seed can germ , but getting them off the plant almost always ruins them , a bit of the shell/casing comes off as you pluck em

try to time this as best as you possibly can , if it is an 8 week flowering strain get the pollen flying at or before the 2 week mark , if it is a 12 week flowering strain get the pollen flying before and up to the 6 week mark ect ect

best of luck and peace

Yes I'm working with a solid 10 week flower but I may start them at the same time to make sure like you have suggested.

Also, should I be saving only the seeds from the pollinated Clone? then back crossing? Or take the rudys as well for future experiments?

Since this isy first auto cross, and the more that I've read, this may be a long experiment. Ill start a grow log once I've received my beans. Cheers for the insight bud.

the possabilities are endless , it is all what you want , how you wish to go about it , if you want specific answers you need to ask specific questions , im not well in the health dept and it takes it toll on my mind , so thats why you need to be specific , other might come in and write a big long post for you , however i cant concentrate long enough to do so

if you want full auto but little rudy in the finished product make further F-generations from the offspring with no back crossing until the eventual full auto has been established , yes it takes time , but quality doesnt always come easy

best of luck and peace
